I must say I do prefer to be barefoot, but I can't do that as often as I would like. When I was a teenager I used to go everywhere without shoes, not caring about glass or anything getting stuck in my foot. It got to a point that the bottom of my feet were that "rough" that I could walk on things that would normally get stuck in my foot without anything happening. These days I wear shoes out and about, and only go barefoot indoors.

I used to be that way - I went barefoot everywhere! Drove my family insane! Now I prefer to go barefoot or wear socks, but I still don't care for shoes. Thats probably why i wear flip-flops all the time. I also wear TOMS shoes because they send a pair of shoes to a child in need for every pair you buy - at least they will then have the choice to wear shoes. We have enough medicine to doctor our feet if we get hurt going barefoot...they could die from it. Plus, the shoes are probably my most comfortable pair that I own.

I am a 35 yr old woman and I NEVER wear shoes unless I have too. Hear at home I never have shoes on, and I go outside barefoot in any kind of weather even in the snow and ice. I live in the Mountains and I am by far not tender footed as they call it......lol
