Say you have a female dog chained up outside no fence would you have her fixed or not and if not would you tell someone that if puppys come out looking like your dog you will leave them on their porch?

I always fix my dogs, boys and girls. As far as leaving them on the doorstep of someone else, perhaps. If I had asked this other person to keep their dog out of my yard repeatedly and I could prove that dog hooked up with mine, then I would ask that the owner of the male dog help me to give away the puppies. If the owner of the male dog had been rude to me, or compleatly ignored my request to keep their dog out of my yard then yes I would get rude back. It is not just the owner of female dogs that should get their pets fixed, it is also the responsibility of the owner of male dogs. If the female stayed in her yard then despite the fact there was a fence or not, the tresspasing dog is in the wrong.

ok say the owner of the male had no idea that the female dog was even out there because it was on the other side of the house. and was never confronted about the male being a problem next door..

I am sorry but if you own a dog that is not fixed then you should keep it in your own yard. Technically all dog(and cat for that matter) owners should keep their pets on their own property, and YES it is possible. If you do get a bunch of puppied on your porch you can always take them to the pound or sell them, if they are given to you then you should try and make money off them.

All I am saying is that if your dog went on to her property then you as the owner are somewhat responsible. I have a male dog and a female dog, they are both fixed because I do not want puppies, but if my male was raoming the neighborhood and getting other dogs pregnant then I would be at some fault. Thay is why he is fixed, incase he gets out of the yard. I agree that the owner of the female is at fault also, she should have her dog fixed, but so should you.

If your dog is outside, it should be fixed. There are already too many unwanted dogs in the world. Not to mention the cruelty of chaining her up so she can't get away from the males. If an unspayed female gets impregnated, I can't see any reason why the owner would put the puppies on the father dogs porch. The owner of the female is the one who allowed it to happen by not having her spayed. Pet ownership is is a priviledge. People who can't care for animals in a responsible and humane manner shouldn't have them, period.

It takes two dogs to make puppies. If you let your male dog run the neighborhood then you are endangering him and should take responsibility, if there is proof.

If I had an unfixed dog and didn't want puppies then I would get the dog fixed thats the easiest way to insure no puppies who happen.

being in a fence does not prevent things from happening- our dog had 8 puppies and never left the fenced yard. These pups were various colors and various hair types so they did not look alike themselves, which the vet said thre could be more than one daddy involved. SO dont count on a fence for protection!
