I believe I have been into that situation but what I knew is that I have experience sleeping for more than 12-15 hours or so. Just right now I have been sleeping since 11PM of last night and it was already past 1PM the next day that I woke up and get started with my online activities. I have this kind of sleeping pattern when I think I am exhausted with work and I just want to rest and relax my body. I don't have that much work, although it depends in a given time of the day and in a week also.

When I feel overwhelmed by work, I tend to sleep less, waking up at about 4:00 a.m. and needing to get up and do some work related activity. I do not know why I do this, but I do.

Somehow you are just different, GG. I am completely different and the only time too that I will have a short sleep time is during change of shift duty, that is from night to afternoon. Probably, around 4 hours sleep the most.

I have slept for a full day but it was only because I was very ill. Normally I would never want to waste precious time by sleeping it away.

The only times I've ever slept all through a day was once when I was in a car wreck I slept 2 days straight, once when I had Hepatitis I slept through a day and when I lost my dog, Petey, I slept for days on end other than getting up to pee. Usually I only sleep long hours when I'm stressed or really sick. ~~AT PEACE WITHIN~~ **STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS**

Hi there rajfoe! If I remember it correctly, the longest stretch I have had is around 12 hours straight when I came home tired and exhausted from an educational tour many years ago. Another instance was at a time when there was this storm and I didn't have work the next day. Because the weather was conducive for sleeping, I ended up sleeping on hours end. I have a friend who could sleep probably 24 hours a day. Not straight though. I don't know how he manages this though.

At one point, yeah I guess I did. I think I was up for 36 hours straight because of a school project and the moment I had laid my head on the pillow I just dozed off and woke up to find the moon was already up! hehe

i have ever slept for 24 hours continuously. didn't wake up to eat or even go to the bathroom. i feel so weak after waking up and my hands was shaking. my body was craving for nutrition as i didn't sleep with a full stomach to start with. still, if i have a chance i'll do it again. although i was ravenous when i woke up, i felt so rested that i'm ready to take on any task!

I have never slept one full day.But there are times when i was working in the call centre.I used to have night shifts over there.I used to sleep in the morning then i used to have my lunch and sleep in the afternoon. When i used to go for work in the night then i used to sleep over there if there was no work. That was the week i used to spend most of the time sleeping than working.

The year I was in college in Heidelberg Germany I had gone home for Christmas. Somehow I got a cold and after I flew back there, 10+ hours plus an hour train ride in which it was very cold, I went straight to bed. I woke up and the clock said it was 6. It was still dark out. But I heard people talking in the kitchen. Very strange. My roommates were NOT morning people, most of them. But I dragged myself out of bed anyway. When I asked them what they were doing up so early, they told me it was 6 in the evening. I had slept all night and all day.

yeah, i do..but there's a reason behind why i slept whole day long..because i am awake whole night long...if you'll ask me what i have done...i joined with this comelec group because it was election..i am incharge in counting the ballot..so it's a whole night affair..it just finished around 5:00 AM in the morning..so from 7:00 am to 8:00pm i am asleep to take my rest..

I am ashamed to say that I myself have slept for 3 days, (with breaks...like to roll over and have bathroom break) I just was NOT feeling good, and was very happy to be able to sleep it allllll off....but that third day I woke to find 2 of my roommates standing over me, checking if I was still breathing lol.

One full day! No not possible man. the longest sleep I had in my life was something around for 14 hours, that was the time when I was awake for 2 night and 1 days. Hence when I came back home then I couldn't help it but slept for that long duration. The funny thing is that I couldn't even remember the date when I got up! I was asking my mum what time it is and did I miss my office for today!

i didn't sleep whole one day .i think no one will get sleep for 24 hours. if anyone sleeps ,they can have any health problems .my maximum sleeping hours is 12 hours one time and may be i have slept for more than that in childhood days i think ,when i am a baby . but now i can't sleep for full day and never sleep also. if i sleep late in night,i also sleep till 11 am in morning.

If I sleep that much I would have to be really sick or really, really, extremely tired. I can plan to sleep late and that will be the day that I wake up early! Then there are times I want to get up early but end up sleeping late.

I can't do that unless I have been sleep deprived by about three days and nights without any sleep at all. I can't sleep past 10 am usually. I know some people who can sleep in til three, four, or five in the day sometimes they have work at night and sometimes they don't do anything except stay up really late the rest of the night. It's an awful cycle if you ask me. Plus it feels as if I have wasted my day.
