Hi Ritz100,
I find that planning never works with me, so I leave it to destiniy, but 10 years ago if you told me that I would be on a computer, I would have laughed at you because I hated the thing and its too complicated for me and look here I am 10 years later, you can't get me off it. I have learnt a lot of things in the last few years or so.

Hi tamara, you are right about things changing, we can never know what we will be doing in 10 years time. I was in England and had a great job, nice house, good life. Now here I am struggling in Spain, no income and renting a flat. Life has some serious lessons for us I think and there is no avoiding them, weve just got to get on with it and make the best of what we have whilst we have it. Well done for learning how to use a computer, thats not easy if you have an aversion to it.

When i was in college i do have plans but it seems that it is not easy to make it happen now. I was also planning my studies before so i could graduate on time but it didnt happened as i planned. Things just get worst so now i dont want to plan my life anymore. But I would attain my goals and let where my life brings me.

You have it sorted for yourself I think. Let life do what it has to then prove you can take it and go beyond. Dont think of what is happening as worse, it is just not what you expected. Maybe it will make you a stonger and better person, prepared for the future. I believe we are not given trials that we are not capbable of learning from. Give that a little thought. hey and thanks for your response I really appreciate you taking the time to answer my question. Take care.

I think the other one just leads to the other. I mean if one doesnt plan then what he's doing is bound to fail sooner or later, unless he's already an expert in whatever task he is doing at present. Planning to fail is also not good. Why should one plan to fail? Unless failing would lead to something good. Like failing work(as in quitting) would lead to freedom and focus on the self.
We should all expect that we will fail sometimes despite our best efforts. Thats just a part of life.
Im not really 'confident' with it. Im just glad that its going somewhere.
I do have a plan for the next 18months but after that Im really not sure. I guess Id just go with the flow or wait until I get to the end of that 18th month and then try to plan for the next years. That is if I can.
But right now I guess I just live for the present. Trying to get by day after day, working, waiting, and hoping something good comes out of all of this.

Hey ritz! I don't really plan ahead anymore! I just take life
as it comes, one day at a time! I have learned that along
time ago! It is too difficult to think past one day because
life constantly throws you curve balls all the time and you
always end up having to change your course of action. So I
no longer make long range plans! Going with the flow is a
much easier and more plausable way to take life!

Yep, thats what I thought. I keep hearing this thing about planning and I just didnt get it. You have summed it up - always end up having to change your course of action!! Yes, you are right. Thank you for that, you have sort of sorted my head out, a little. Soon we will speak again!

I am where I want to be, luckily God has blessed me and my family and I hope and pray that my life is doing as good and we are still where we are at in the next 5-10 yrs.

Problem is Ozarkgirl that the only certainty in life is change, this means you will NOT still be where you are in at least the next 5-10 years, coz (Im sorry to say) life is a beech and things are gonna change and you had better be prepared. Im not being a scare monger here, I just want you to get out of the daisies and into the roses (and they have thorns.) I am sure one day you will remember this and think, hey she was right.
