I think it's safe to say that we're out of the woods and Dyna is going to make it. She hasn't vomited in well over 24 hours and is eating. Last night I offered her some baby food and she ate like she was starving. I've been giving her the soft dogfood my little dog eats that comes in a pouch and also some boiled chicken. She's drinking on her own so the only thing I'm forcing down her throat is the antibiotics. I'm going to see if the vet will give me another half of a bottle since I still have to worm her...but I think I'm going to wait until Tuesday to do that...give her some more time to get her strength back since the wormer might make her feel bad and her body is going to have to rid itself of the dead worms. I want to thank everyone for all of your support and caring while we went through this terrible illness. I definitely felt it and knowing that you guys were pulling for Dyna helped more than you know. I never felt alone...even at 4:00AM during the worst nights.

That is WONDERFUL!!! What great news to read just before I go to bed! Be sure to include a teaspoon or so of cooked rice tomorrow when her system has become used to having solid food again, so her stools won't be so watery. You have created a bond now between the two of you. She will never forget your love and concern for her. I hope that this is the worst thing Dyna and you ever have to go through. I'll keep praying for her--and you--for a couple of days, and praise God for her recovery and your strength. You've certainly ended my day on a positive note!!

Well, I'm happy to be able to do that, dragon. My husband was telling me earlier that I had already stolen his dog and now she'll really be attached to me. She's supposed to be his companion at the chopper shop but the noise of the motorcycles scares her so I was keeping her mostly at home before she got sick. I told him that I'll let him have her back...eventually. LOL!

Hi spalladino! That is the best news ever! I am so happy to hear that Dyna is eating! That is a wonderful sign! That means she is definitely feeling better! And she is keeping it down too! I knew she was a fighter! Just keep doing whatever it is you have been doing and she will do the rest! And ask the Vet for about whatever you're not sure about. I didn't realize that she still has to have the worming too. She's been through so much! Give her a big hug and kiss from her Aunty Opal! And hugs to you!

Thanks Aunty Opal! I got your email by the way and just responded to it. A couple of distractions came my way tonight, which was a nice change. Looks like things are back to normal around here.

I am so glad Dyna is on the road to recovery! Give her an extra pat on the head and a belly rub for me.

this could mean that we love animals as much as we love u,, and don't let anyone tell u that u must love people more than animals,, I always believe the poor creatures need love and care as they have no ability to say that they need help,, if u don't help in time,U wouldn't see Dyna right now,,Hugs and kisses

That's great! Now, both of you can get some sleep and rest before you get sick. Good luck with the worms, hope it doesn't make her too sick from that!

Yeah! I'm so happy! That is excellent news! I was so afraid the last update was not going to be good...I think you have done an exemplary job taking care of Dyna; if only more people cared for animals they way you do! Reading your post has made my day. It sounds like she's on the road to recovery! Yeah!
