Do you finish the roll?

When you get down to that last bit of toilet paper, do you finish it all or throw it away? I always take it all off the roll - unless there's too much glue and it doesn't come off very easily. I have seen plenty of times when there is still one layer of toilet paper on the roll when it's in the trash. To me, this is a bit wasteful because there's nothing wrong with that last bit. Yeah, it may not be enough, but you can use it along with the beginning of the next roll.

You can hide a treat inside and kind of turn the ends in, and it really amuses them to find the treat and get to eat it.

I try to use everything. I remember when I was a kid and we had guinea pigs, we'd give them the cardboard roll to chew on!

Those little pieces add up, so I use them all the way up. I guess the kind I buy does not use much glue, so we can change rolls when they are completely s empty.

Waste not, want not - right? We're hit or miss with the glue... We use Members Mark at Sam's Club so it's not always consistent on the glue thing.

My son is bad about leaving the last of it on the roll. I take all of it off unless, like you said, it is glued down too much. I have found some brands don't glue it down or if they do it is so slightly glued that you don't even realize it and it comes off so easy.

I use the Sam's Club Members Mark brand - it's CHEAP, but not "cheap". They're not very regular on the glue things. Sometimes it comes right off, but sometimes I can't get it easily.
And now that I think about it, my son usually leaves the last layer on too. Maybe it's a "kid" thing?

hehe interesting discussion. We use all of the toilet paper. I tried to get my parents onto buying recylced toilet paper... but they like the cushiony stuff. I do prefer the comfort too. However if it was my money I would forgoe the comfort for helping the environment.
We always recyle the cardboard roll too.

hmmm.... Is recycled toilet paper toilet paper that's already been used??? JUST KIDDING! But it sounded funny. I don't know that I've ever used recycled, but if it wasn't too uncomfortable I might give it a try.

If the tp is stuck with glue to the roll i finish it to where it comes off easily otherwise I finish it - if there's not enough i start a new roll and just use a bit off the new and the last bit off the old.
It drives me bonkers when people use everything but the last square and dont bother to set a new roll out for guests! I always leave a roll sitting under the "doll" in the bathroom (and let people know) just incase someone uses the last and needs more.

When the roll in the main bathroom starts to get low - like a few days beforehand - I put a fresh roll on the top of the tank. That way you don't have to go around looking for it! I also make sure that if I take the last roll out of the cupboard I go get another pack from our storage - we buy in bulk.

Hi, reinydawn.. I usually will just use all of the toilet paper on the roll. When it gets lower, I will sit this aside and I will, put a brand new roll on the toilet paper dispenser. My husband tends to throw away the toilet paper roll when it has about 5 pieces of tissue left on it. I think that is like wasting tissue. I like to get it all off the roll. I believe in getting my money's worth.. My husband does his drinks like this too.
