What taxes are you most upset about? Payroll taxes? Income taxes? Fear taxes will have to go up with the huge national debt? I applaud the folks who took to the streets, but a general angst about taxes may dillute the message. So... what is YOUR message?

Well there is a lot going on right now with the government that has a lot of people really mad. Mad enough to say enough is enough. THat would be taxes. Not just federal but state and local taxes too. Property taxes. Then sales taxes, taxes on gas, the new tax on cigerettes, etc...The feds maybe giving a small break on taxes to alot of people right now....but state, local and property taxes are going up. Plus those tax breaks that we are getting now won't last. Also the out of control spending going on in washington. Who is going to end up footing the bill for all this wasteful spending? The tax payer. And the next generation. Face it to pay all this debt off long term taxes are going to have to go up once the economy recovers.People know that. Too much pork, too much waste. Too much government control.Too many social programs. "Public service" Bill. The bail outs. Face it there has been a big power grab going on with the federal government in the past few years. People are finally sick of it. Personally I think they should have been in the streets like there were today a long time ago. But I guess it is better late than never. I am glad to see so many people stand up and demand to be heard. I hope washington is listening. They are not happy with our elected officials. Both democrat and republican.

You are not seeing enough of it. In California they were attacking the govenator. He is a republican (although in name only). They are going after the republicans who voted FOR the bail outs. And pork projects that both sides did. Basically it is a wake up call for ALL of them to stop. Yes some are just criticizing the democrats....but a lot are fed up with both sides and their actions and want them to stop. The dems are in control on both house and congress plus the presidency so they are going to get a lot of flack. I think the republicans that voted for the bail outs are getting it the worst.

Unlike the liberal protest at the G20 and the anti war protest I did not hear of any arrests aor any distruction of property. In several of the shots I saw the people were on the sidwalks and not on the grass or climbing on statutes. Maybe NBC, ABC and CBS would have found it easier to cover if they had burned and distroyed things. Most of the signs I saw were anti government and anti taxes. There were as many anti Obama posters as anti Bush posters. This was not a protest against President Obama but rather a protes against a government that is not responsive to the people. These people only see the government as taxing them and telling them how to live, drive and what jobs will be saved. Union jobs in the Auto Industry will be saved but non union Bankers and non union workers at Beach Craft (makers of Corporate Jets) are not worth saving but rather the government went out of its way to destroy the industry.

My message is a simple one a man has full ownership of the fruits of his labor. I could careless if this individual makes a couple of dollars or millions of dollars, no man has a right to anyone else's money. I do not work for you so I am not entitled to any of your money, so I would like the same respect, but to many think they think they own what ever portion of my work they think they are entitled too. So basically I am against the income tax, but I am also against the property tax. My issue with property taxes is that you never own your house and land because if you miss one years property tax payment the government can take away your land. So you are renting the property from the government so you can keep living in your house.
