who is your favorite writer?

robert ludlum is my all time favorite. not only because he is an author of detective type of novels. tom clancy is an author who does this too and is popular with the crowd that goes for this type of writing but i find the pacing of his novels slow.
i got to like judith krantz for a while. robert ludlum invents suspense, if i may say so. he never runs out of ideas and ways to bring them out in his very own good way.

I too like Ludlims books a lot.I like the way he writes and his story ideas.My all time favorites among his books are the Bourne series, Tristan Betrayal and Osterman Weekend. Having said that I love all his books and read them again and again after a few years just to refresh myself...all the best
