Unemployed Well sort of

United States

Well yesterday was the last day of the tax season so I am officially home full time now. So I am working on my craft business. My hands are speckled white from bisque primer as I get an owl and a baby ready to paint with translucents. I will be working on a baby quilt today also. I am trying to discipline myself to working on crafts and my internet stuff 8 hours a day. I also have to work on my certification for tax season next year. So how many of you are seasonally employed? Unemployed? Full time employed?

I am a full time college student at this time. I do some free lance writing on the side, but for the most part my time is spent doing homework! Right now, I'm concentrating on writing two short papers that are due the first part of next week, and studying for a test that I have on Monday.

Good luck on your test! and the papers. I remember those days. I will be trying to catch up on my certification qualifications over the summer.

I don't draw a wage from anyone, so I can understand your need to be disciplined! Working for yourself is a fabulous opportunity to read books and muck about on the internet, if you allow it to be. Unfortunately, you then suddenly realise that there's no pay cheque on it's way!

Yeah I spend entirely too much time on the pc and not enough time crafting. I also watch too much tv.

I am sure you will keep busy. I am not employed. I stay at home and take care of my son.

I am finding plenty to keep me busy. Today I finished an old world santa ornament, an owl, and the parts to a new doll. I have a baby quilt almost finished and tomorrow (oh wait it is tomorrow! it is 3 am!) I plan to finish the doll and make an outfit and blankie for it.

I am much more than full time employed, but will be getting salary instead of hourly, so I really need to cut back. I have not really done crafts in ages. I cannot work online eight hours a day. I will be happy just to keep up and make payout every month.
