I knew that grovelling would be bad for me

I have a blister on the very tip of my tongue. A nasty white thing that is driving me nuts! It won't kill me and I doubt that it will cause any significant deterioration in my enjoyment of life. But it is a blooming nuisance. So sorry, if you want me to grovel and lick your boots tonight I'm not going to! What little health issues are annoying you at the moment?

I couldn't remember whether it was bonjela or Preparation H Scorpio. Thanks for clearing that up for me. I'd have "piles" of problems otherwise. LOL.

Well all of a sudden I have this annoying little chuckle that won't stop. I'm pretty sure if you licked my boots that would fix it though.

My mummy told me that a blister on your tongue was what you got for telling lies. Have you been telling big fibs? The only health issues I have at the moment are three pains in the neck. Hopefully two will be moving out soon so the other will be easier to deal with. Get some bonjela.

Dammit, I'd just dragged my boots out from storage too. I have this skin condition on my hands at the moment that's driving me absolutely insane. They look like heaps of tiny blisters and they itch like crazy. Thankfully they're almost gone because of an ointment a Chemist gave me, but I have skin flaking off all over the place. Apparently it's some sort of virus? I just got rid of ebola too, so I'm pretty pissed to be honest.

i get them quite frequently,i dont the reason why(maybe because i am hot blooded),sure it doesnt allow me to enjoy my food properly,since i am not able to brush properly,my mouth is often shut much to relif of my family members,somone told me that prune juice is good,otherwise it takes about 2-3days for the discomfort to subside.

Hi Pikie. I'm enduring a sharp burning pain in my heel that shoots up the back of my leg when I walk. I've had it a few weeks now and I have no idea what's causing it. It's there when I get out of bed and when I get up from sitting. I also have a sore back and tummy muscles the latter of which I had thought were obsolete by now...I think that's to do with a bug of some sort. I'm sick of being in pain. Try licking a grater...that will burst your blister and have you on the mend.

I went to see the doctor today...we have had one visiting us every Thursday, only to be informed that he is no longer coming. I will have it looked at because it's very painful. Happy your tongue is better. (please don't send any tourists *shudder*)
@p1kef1sh (45681)
24 Apr 09
But did he reassure you today (not about the not coming thing). Are you OK? Typical. I expect that they are saving money by not sending him in future.

See a doctor! That leg pain sounds like it could be several things, but I should have it checked out. Assuming that you've not been spending hours in your stilettos I know what you dancing girls are like!! If you keep feeling poorly you must get it looked at. Promise me or I'll tell the next party of Aussie tourists that I get over here to come and visit you!!! My tongue is bettr now thanks. I stopped short of the grater. I don't mind a little tongue for tea. But not my own!

My mom always said those blisters were because a person didn't eat enough citrus. Right now I have acid reflux and it makes my lips burn. I ate dinner thirty minutes ago and I'm starving. My arthritis is killing me. But it was warm and sunny today and I didn't need a coat to go outside! That makes everything better! And my neighbor's flowers last year threw me some seeds so I have some lovely purple flowers under my window!

Yes Pike that is very true the tongue will always seek out the blister, I think a restraining order would be in order. That is another one Chimes,why when we bite our tongue, that it is a repeat process and painful too.

OUCH...that is the worst place for a blister,I get those from time to time and they are uncomfortable.I hope it goes away soon....as for me I am trying to prevent a migrane at the moment.I am prone to getting them.Take care my friend.

Oh that is most unfortunate..I guess that leaves French Kissing out of the question for a few days or so..lol I do have a few annoying health issues at this time.. I have a tooth that has been giving me trouble for the last 3 days..it is the back tooth and the nerve is being fussy and so it has my whole left side in a pain. So no head banging for me for awhile. Also have had a headache.

Ahhh shucks! I knew I should have kept my mouth shut...lol..well there is always later..better late then never as they say..lol Yep, toothache probably right up there with birthing maybe..and earaches..

19 Apr 09
Just as I am about to suggest that perhaps we could try a little french kissing to determine how bad my blister is Becky; you have to go and ruin it by telling me that you have a headache! LOL. I hope that and your tooth get better soon. That may well be the reason for your headache in fact. A pain related tension one. Take care and see the dentist!

Anything to do with the mouth always feels much larger than it actually is, so I sympathise. My annoying little health issues aren't actually mine, but are annoying me none the less. My dearly beloved needs to go and see the dentist as he's in pain, but isn't getting around to making the appointment. He's being a grumpy, bad tempered, miserable so and so as a result. And as if that wasn't enough tooth trouble, my youngest is currently cutting some back teeth and is even more grumpy, bad tempered and miserable that Daddy (if that's possible). Perhaps if I locked them in a room together they could take it out on each other then come out all sweetness and light?

The little health issue i have that is driving me crazy is that i am 26 years old and have varicous vein, and i am not talking spider veins where its easy to see your veins...thats just a type of varicous vein. I am talking about the kind that makes knots in your legs and the only thing that can be done for them is a cosmetic surgery that insurance doesnt pay for. For most people they dont hurt, for me they dont, but its a vanity issue. Do you know how embarrassing it is to have about five small knots on your leg and everyone being "OMG whats wrong with your leg..are those tumors??" Then having to explain what they are and hearing that i am to young for that. And it upsets me that nothing can really be done for it, because if i have them removed...there is a big chance they can come back.
@p1kef1sh (45681)
18 Apr 09
I can imagine what a pain that is to have. The Boss has a spier vein on her leg which she is very self-conscious about. I say that these things make you more interesting and appealing. Wouldn't life be dull if we were all the same?

my back, it has been killing me for days now. it is not that serious but when it hurts, it really is irritating me. i become so irritable that i often end up losing my temper at such small things. i have been taking pain killers for it but there are times that the pain just don't seem to go away.

For minor ailments, I can't think of anything more irritating than a blister on the tongue. I think it's one step worse than accidentally biting your lip. It really puts a damper on enjoyment of hot coffee or tea, doesn't it? About the only thing that helps, at least a little, is liberal applications of ice cream. After that, you can enjoy a bit of groveling, as long as you take it easy. I took my boots off....

I struggle with feet. But seeing as how it is you............. Ice cream? You're talking my language!

I'm still waiting for science and medicine to determine that the best, most complete diet for all people consists of ice cream and chocolate. Of course eating both together would optimize the benefits of each. Sorry about the feet...I don't think I could step in ice cream for improvement, but perhaps chocolate?
