yard sales are something I never got into, I am not good at finding a treasure, I just see most stuff as junk, which I did like yard sales though.

I used to love to go to yard sales when I was younger or when I first started out on my own. I used to find some very nice things.

Hi, raydene! Yes, I do love yard sales. My grandmother and aunts goes a lot from time to time. I have went many of years ago, and they have some nice and affordable things. You can bring $5.00 and shop like you have $40.00 on you. They have great bargains. And things that I and my family can use. Thanks for the link!

Thanks for the link. Some people put yard sale listings on www.craigslist.com because there's no charge. I LOVE going to yard sales. I especially look for used books because I read every day. When I find books cheap, I can read them and then donate them to a thrift shop. I also like looking just to see what's there and often see things I think friends or family members would like. Yard sales are great to find bargains and also a fun way to spend some time. I often have friendly chats with the owners or other buyers.

I used to go to yard sales Raydene. The problem is I live in a poor area and most of the people around me are poor, so the yard sales are often made up of old cloths that are way too small for me or stuff that I would not use. What I like to buy are books, which I buy from the library. I guess the library does run a kind of yard sale. People donate books they do not want and the library sells them for whatever people are willing to donate for the books. I would rather buy the books at the library, since I would not have to return them and can later on in life enjoy rereading a good book. .

I loved them! I was very disappointed when I moved to Scotland to see that they don't do them over here. It's a great place to grab a bargain. My girlfriend and I used to go to yard sales all the time. I would come home with bags and bags of goodies. They have car boot sales here but they are just not the same.

Oh Yard Sales are fun, I like that site you posted, Thank you. Besides going to them, lately with having no job I have been having my own yard sale the last two years. I run it for a month or longer at a time. Last year after I was done, mind you I ran it for three months, I was able to buy a car. What is awesome is people in the area get to know you and some just out of generosity bring you things to sell to help you out. I thank God for these people they helped me make my goal last year. I haven't decided if or when I will do it again this year. I still have more stuff I want to get rid of. It will depend on how much my hands(carpal tunnel) and back are ready to take this on again. No jobs for someone my age at the moment around here, its getting real bad, so I may just have to regardless. I do what I can. That is another reason I go to yard sales, I can't afford much that is new.. so we do what we can to survive.

That's really cool! I'm definitely going to check out that link. I like yard sales but I rarely find myself going to them - which is weird, I know. lol
