I've always thought of myself as quite healthy but I guess, my doctor do not agree with that. I went to see her just last Wednesday and now I am faced with a series of tests and a minor surgery. This will be the first time that I'm having one and also the first time for me to be hospitalized. I know that it's a minor one but I guess, I'm still apprehensive. Have you ever had a surgery before? For what was it? How did you feel when you knew that you had to undergo one?

Hi diutay, That is not very nice but it is best for you though, I have only had my tonsil out so that was not too bad and it was when I was much younger, hope all goes well for you. Tamara

Yup, I had a minor surgery before, way back when I was like 12, appendectomy that is. Suffering from appendicitis, it was really terrible, the stomach ache and all that. But, after the surgery, everything went well. The surgery itself went smoothly and I really had a very nice surgeon that time. I guess you don't have to worry too much since you said, it's just a minor surgery and really, you won't feeling anything, just a little ache when the anesthesia was gone but other than that, you should be fine. Good luck!

I have had many minor and major. In fact I have had my stomach cut from stirup to sterum. They were all fine and I did not have much pain from any of my surgeries except when I had surgery for my back. i always say a prayer before I go into surgery asking God that if it is my time to go to please forgive me for my sins and help my family through it, but I do wish to spend more time with my family if you see fit to let me do so. Even though I have had 8 surgeries I still get a little scared each time but I think that is only human. Good Luck and God Bless!!

Wow! That's a lot. A healthy dose of fear I guess keeps us grounded and reminds us that we should look up to God.
