Die because of stress!Only because of unable to find a job!

Hi,mylotters!
I just heared a bad news!Two undergraduates committed suicide yesterday only because they were afraid that they wouldn't be able to find a good job.They thought that they were useless and felt guilty.I am really surprised by the sad news.As young people,we should be positive.I am a undergratuate too,and I will face the problem in the near future.I am not sure whether I can find a good job,but I am sure that I will stay postive because youth is everything!I wish this kind of tragedy won't happen again.Mylotters,how do you view their death?

Tsk! Tsk! That's so sad to know. I wish they should have just let things happen cause in the first place, they're not the only people who are experiencing the same things.
Sometimes, it really depends also how a person handles his/her problems, and there are people like them who have low tolerance of bad things happening around them. It's just sad to hear it, they're really so young to waste their life.

[i]This is very sad but it is always great to have an open communication with our family and friends in that way, we have an outlet to whom we can share our frustrations and problems..
I agree with you being positive is very necessary in these days![/i]

wow this is an extremely sad situatiob but it goes to show how much stress peopl are under in these tough economic climate but these undergraduates should have known that they were more equipped to find a job than many other people who are still fighting to survive.This is a great loss of such intelectual capital ,minds who could have been used to help ust through the recession

This is very sad. I cannot imagine doing something like this because I was unable to find a job. I think that there has to be more to it. I mean, someone would have to have some very serious depression issues to do something so drastic. I really hope that the economy recovers soon, there have been a lot of these cases since the freak out from the Bush team about AIG.

i think this is very sad.but everyone in any country finds it hard to get a job no matter what exams you have behind you.and alot of people take their own life as they have the same worries and the same stresses.with it being more expensive to live now adays and less jobs we have lots of worries.

For some, the current economic atmosphere is more than they can bear. Hopelessness can become overwhelming. Judgment then becomes clouded. It is hard to stay positive and hopeful.

I dont really want to hear this kind of story. It's really terrible. I wish it wont happen anymore to anyone. I havent find a job 6 months already. I'm totally useless and a burden to my parents but i'm still have a hope that there is a job that's really for me. God may not give it to me now because maybe he want me to realize something or maybe i wasnt a good daughter or sister. I know that im being punished from what i did in college i know there is an end to it and that there is something for me in the future. All we need is prayer and faith.

I am sorry to hear that you still haven't got a job yet.But I am glad to hear that you still keep a hope in your mind.You are not useless or a burden,the problem is that you haven't got the chance.If you get one,your value will be shown!

It's very sad. A waste of lives for nothing.
I bet their families and friends have a lot of regrets for the rest of their life. They must be regretting for nagging the two undergraduates, and not encouraging enough.
It's a pity to die at such a young age. Even if they are unemployed, they can still enjoy life, do a lot of reading and work part time.

This is so sad! I know that it is going to be hard when I am done with school to find a good job right away, but I also know that if I keep looking and keep a positive attitude, that I will be able to find the job I am looking for. It is hard to think that I am spending all this money on school and it will go to waste cause I will not be able to find a good job, but I will not give up. It is sad that people will take their own life when they can not find the job they want.

I think they didn't think thoroughly about their future. You're right about being positive. We should face this current economic issue and go on living. We're not the only one doing that, million of others too. We can't really tell our future by the current situation, that's why we need to keep moving on.

the bad part is that the ppl who do commit sucide don't think about the families, their parents, their wifes,gfs, and ppl who look up to them, sure they feel leftout and usless at times, but we need to realize that god has gifted us with a limited life and we should utilize it to the fullest, comming sucide for something won't solve the problem
sad to see this, pls all those who read this think 1000 times before doing such things if u ever come to face such a situation!

Are they American? I am a Chinese girl. Undergraduates in China do have the problem of finding job more and more diffcultly,especially in rencent years.
I think this concerts with Chinese Education system. we learn much theory in school but lack of practicing opportunities,so they we go into the community,some of them may have a long time to adapt it. But Why American undergraduates are diffcult to find a good job?
