Do we have to find a place for happiness or is it within us?

Happiness should come within ourselves but at one point in our life we can find energy from outside. Maybe want she really wanted is a place to inspire her to be happy. I sometimes want to be in a new place because it gives me the chance to appreciate the things that I have. I also want to be with nature because by that I appreciate the creation of god. happy myloting.

Different people have different definitions or reasons to feel happy sonia.May be your friend finds happiness in what she is telling.

If you ask me I would tell its a total mindset of a person.If he decides to feel happy then he will be happy no matter anything he does or anywhere he goes.What do you say sonia?

Hi....Happiness is within all of us, it just takes different things to bring it out. Their are not very many people that walk around happy all the time. and even for the ones that do im sure that their is something special to each of them that brings it out a little more.

happiness comes from within, if you are not happy with yourself firstly then nothing outside will make you happy. Yes you can get artificial happiness I think from say a holiday where you feel good for a week or two, but then its back to reality.

Peace of mind is the greatest happiness. But i have to say that one should also have to do something different to keep up the excitement going on in a relationship, like say going to a different place and experience different things. It's depends upon person to person, some people find happiness by doing just shopping.

Happiness always lies within self and is just a perception, nothing else. A man is happy having little money and a man is unhappy after having loads of money. Greediness , jealously .. these adjective really matters a lot in human attitude towards life and work. Many people cannot manage their work life balance and hence gets into trouble. Anyways there is learning at every stage of life, where there is good there is something bad too. We cannot have only one always.

i agree with you completely that happiness comes from inside us and we don't have to spend lots of money or be rich to be happy... happiness is not linked with materialism at all... in fact, happiness is much more richer and deeper than that... it comes from inside us and from our heart... for me, i always happy everyday because i know that i had been saved by God from my sins and His grace is abundance on me... that is more than enough to make me joyful everyday... take care and have a nice day...

I do prefer to go on a vacation to find peace of mind from hectic work and stress.Please tell me how do I find it if I am in a stressful place.

Maybe she needs a break away to find her inner happiness.. I would support her.. She may just need a fresh start away from what is currently surrounding her it may be depressing and if she goes on a vacation she may find some quality time to her self to Refresh.

I do believe that happiness needs to start from within in order for us to fully enjoy our lives. We can't get it from someone else unless we find the peace and happiness with ourselves first. Some people are searching half of their lives for something or someone that is finally going to make their life wonderful and happy and then end up in disappointment. I am not saying that you can't find a good friend or special partner in life because they can make you happy to a degree. Everything else falls within your own heart and mind to create your own destiny. Your friend might have a good time going on vacation. The answer to true happiness doesn't always lay where you go or what you do. Happiness isn't always about material things either. Material things aren't always going to be there and can't always provide you with the happiness that you seek. Materials are sometimes just a cover up and then you can still feel emptiness anyway.

meaning of happiness is different for different people.and each person reacts accordingly..so we can not blame someone for finding happiness at a special place..

Well happiness is up to us to define what it is...It's something that they can only find, it's a journey for one...They'll see what they need to see, feel what they need to feel, it's just something only you as a person would know...What you need to do is just to be there for her...Tell her that once she've found everything that she needs, come back, cz you'll be right here waiting for her...^_^ Without happiness, one is like a person with no soul to bear...I hope you'll support her in this, it's just something she gotta do...=] Take care.

Happiness although you can be happy if you have all those things you want, you were right about it, happiness can be obtain to within your self and within the people that supports you and caress you as time goes by. And also material happiness will never last as time pass by, but the happiness you share and shared by you will bring you good point of view in life.

Its really very hard to find happiness from inside us.It is very nice to say but very hard to follow especially when the situation is very bad and sad.

You and your friend are both right according to me. I for one enjoy being both materialistic as well as satisfied about myself. Sometimes no matter how low I'm feeling, buying or getting something new cheers me up. But sometimes inspite of having all, I feel down and sad. Also sometimes I have nothing and I really feel elated because I'm enjoying life doing the things I like and all. I completely stand by your statement, Sonasony. Happiness is more like a state of joy, during which you act like an optimist, you forget all bad things that happened with you and whatever you see, you take it in the right manner. When and how do we get happiness? rather an interesting question. I wouldnt ask you all to buy my opinion,I haven't written any theory on it :P but would just like to share my opinion on it. Happiness is always deep down a human soul. And once you succeed in bringing out tht happiness,you become HAPPY. Happiness doesnt come from materialistic wonders of the world. I solely believe that happiness is an integral part of the human body just like blood, but which is invisible.We all have that storage for Happiness deep down us and we experience happiness when we succeed in bringing it out. I defensee of what your friend argued, I wouldn't say she was totally wrong (acc.0 to my opinion i.e) but I'd like to rephrase it. The happiness within us can be brought out with the help of 'worldly materials'. These things can boost out our happiness and we may tend to be happy, but again, happiness is within us and not the materials. I hope I made my point very clear :D peace!

I believe that tis a little bit of both. I HATE where I currently live, and find myself MUCH happier when I live in Chicago's south suburbs or in when I lived in Alabama. The environment generally affects how we perceive life to be.... at least for most people. If we're around more positive imagery, we tend to be hopeful thus allowing more happiness... that's the best that I can explain how I feel about that question.. sorry.

no actually it would really depend on the person ..... how do she/he defines happiness is it through material things or just within .... me i prefer serving my own family even if it means giving up my time with friends ..... i think that serving my husband & daughter is the happiness i truly enjoy ......

Well to be honest diff people have diff opinion...some people find happiness in material possession, some find it in traveling, and many such options....but i agree with you that happiness is within us...and it is burdened with all the worldly pleasures dep down in our soul and hence we cannot feel it....try this out....fulfill one of your worldly desires and i assure you another one would arise in no time....the chain goes on...i guess when this happens its time for you to give them all up....and feel the difference !!!!
