http://www.wyff4.com/money/19208056/detail.html Delta has announced that they are in the process of moving their Customer Service back home to the U.S. I hope more companies pay attention & do the same thing!!! Maybe our manufacturing will follow suit. Yes, we will probably have to pay more for some products in order to have this happen. Then again we won't have to worry about lead on our children's toys or melamine in our milk & our baby's food!!! Let any company you do business with know your feelings on this subject & pray that more come home!!! What are your feelings on this return home???

Yeah, I havent heard this but I really think our country has let things go TOO far already. I dont think in many ways we would be self sufficient now if these countries decided not to trade with us anymore. I am glad to see at least this one return!

It appears that most of the outsourced jobs outside of the US is going back to their hometown because of global crisis. Companies goal is to cut manpower cost that is why they outsource back office jobs outside the US. They really save a LOT. But going back home they will pay again high compensation packages to its fellow Americans. But I think the government have a special deal to this companies that will bring back the seats back to the US. Maybe cutting the taxes. And if that is the deal, then they will still save, but NOT that much compared when they outsourced.

That is the good news bad news..it is great that the company is coming home and hope that many follow their example but it is going to make it even harder to make ends meet if prices sky rocket for it. But I guess as you said well worth it in the end and less worries every time we or the kids put things in their mouth.

I think it's great! I remember reading Hershey's wouldn't be making a certain candy bar here anymore but was moving the operations to Mexico. I emailed them that I'm boycotting that product and they wrote back a long justification of the move. I've forgotten which item it was but I'm boycotting Hershey's anyway. If we would make it more tax-friendly for companies to be here, they would come back. Most of them left because of taxes and labor problems.

As much as I hate to see jobs leave people who need them in another country, we really need to bring our jobs and manufacturing back to our own country and make it too expensive for them to outsource jobs.
