Have you fallen victim to having your parents divorce? If so how did you deal with it?

Well, my parents didn't get a divorce per-say, but they got a legal separation, which is pretty much the same thing. For some reason, kids whose parents get divorced often grow up a lot faster than others. I had to take a mature perspective on things - and understand that it was for the best. My parents were miserable together and cheated on eachother 24/7. At least with my mom having moved out, the arguing stopped. It did kind of break apart my family, though, but it was well-worth it (looking back I say this - I didn't necessarily think it at the time). I know that they would have been miserable together and couldn't fake happiness anymore.

My parents never divorced. Maybe they should have. They separated for almost 20 years. Now they live in the same house because they help each other with their health issues. I have been divorced once and I am in the process of my second divorce. My children and I talk a lot. It helps them to talk. My children and I have all been in counseling over the years. If you need to talk to someone, perhaps a counselor can be of help to you. You also consider talking with your minister.
