friends discussing

my notifications dont really work that well either there are several people that i NEVER get notifications for it makes me mad because they always have great discussions too

I have all mine turned off but I still get a few through. I have 25 pages of friends and another 6 pages pending from people who just fancy me. Sweet isn't it? LOL. I trawl through "Friends started", that's how I found this one. If I had all my notifications on I'd have the inbox from hell!

Oh please don;t say that - have you seen how jam packed my inbox is with email notifications??? You mean I have to go looking too! I don't know I disappear for a week and it takes me weeks and weeks to catch up! Hmmmph! Ps You do know thatif the other person doesn't have notify on for you you won't get notifications for their discussions even if you have notify on for them? I know that some of my friends cannot have notify on as they feel swamped and I never get any emails for their posts even though I have notify on for them! xxx

I am not sure if I got your point right but in my email, I get notified about some but don't get with some. If I hadn't checked, I would have missed responding to some that I should have responded to. Hehe....I hope I got what you meant.

Hi Chimes. I have been having that same problem for weeks. All my friends notifiers are set to "on" but I do not get all of them. I have been late into many discussions because of it which is a real shame. So I always have to check the for discussions that I might have missed. Do you think it is worth mailing the myLot admins about it ?

I turn on all the notifications, notice to the discussions from friends or other people. a little late to get it through email, and open many tabs in my browser to find out.

I had notify's switched off for around 2 years or so because the emails drove me crazy, but about 2 months or so ago, I turned them back on because friends kept asking me to. I don't pay much attention to them though as I have a habit of looking in the "friends started" lists and I also check profiles of close friends regularly for their discussions as well. All I do know is that if notify;s are to work both ways, then BOTH people concerned must have requested notify's for each other, but even this isn't 100% accurate either as I have a number of friends that never receive notifications of my discussions even though we both have notify's on. Mylot has it's own Bermuda Triangle I think.

I think we can thank the "glitch" here. I have a LOT of my friends notices turned on as well and NEVER get email notices when they start discussions and don't find out if they have or not until I come here and poke around the "friends started" pages

my notifiers are all off . I just respond to discussions as I come across them. If I had them turned on, my e-mail would be overloaded & overwhelmed.

it happens to everyone.. i seem to have the problem where mylot will stop ALL notifies to my email.. whether it be for replies to my discussions or my friends posting.. i will not get them for a few hours then i get slammed with 100 at once a few hours later.. im so behind all the time on answering peoples notifies that i dont get to check up to see if i am missing anyone.. i hope i am not

i have quite long list of friends here at mylot but now a days i notice that most of them are off and might be they have taken a break or migh be they were here for a short time and may be any of the reasons and hence i feel that that is why we dont get any comments from them. may be few people are always online and also from a long time but all cant have a same possiblity and might be each one have some or the other workor they get busier with something else. if i take the example of myself i am coming to mylot only a fewer timer and i am not able to do mylotting as i did it before due to my own persoal reasons. i hope you agree with my response.

I have all of the notifications off. I don't really know anything about them. But I myself haven't been very active here..So who knows.

Hi TLChimes, I did notice a while ago that I haven't heard from some my friends and then I notice them somewhere else, I had to send them pm to ask them to check on their nortification to see if I am turned off at their end, they came back to me to tell it was off and turned them back on, it does happens now and again so it is good idea for everyone to check their friends list. Hello my friend TLChimes Ji, I too have experienced similar thing in past several time. but then I further understood that it had combined more than one in common folder for same member. Suppose, you have posted more than one discussion/response/comments, it may be available under one place. Sometimes, after responding to first I may delete the rest. I might not be very clear.
