A rude motorist

I was stopping at the junction when the traffic light turned red. For no reasons, a driver behind honked at me. I looked at my mirror and I saw his angry face. I wasn't speeding but maybe, he was speeding and when he saw me stopping my car, he has to brake his car too. I didn't ask him to speed though... When the light turned green, he over took and looked at me with you-know-what-kind-of-face! I really don't enjoy driving anymore nowadays with all the ill mannered drivers on the road. This is one of the examples. I don't think it is enough space for me here if I want to rant about them!

Well, i just encountered a driver like that a few days ago... he was a jeepney driver who i think intentionall forgets to give the change of passengers... i gave him a 20 peso bill but he did not give my change... and when i as close to getting down... i ask him for it and he was very rude to tell me why i did not ask for it earlier... i told him that i did but he did not say anything... Some drivers are really rude and ill mannered... but i hope for the sake of every one's safety... they woult at least be nice and considerate...

Hello aseretdd, Oh, I encountered a few ignorance people like you described above! I really hate driving now especially in the city. One time when I was driving on the road in my hometown, I honked a bus where the driver was engaged on his cell phone and drove, I think like 20-30km/h. I tried to overtake and when I managed to do it (after a few times trying), he showed me his middle finger!

Hello aseretdd, Sometimes, I feel like taking a public transport but honestly, when you depend solely on the public transport here, most of the time, you will get more heart aches. I'm just tired with those irresponsible drivers out there. It makes me to think how they can get their driving license! Some think that women drivers are the worst but as far as I can remember, none of fatal accidents here caused by women drivers!

Hello amirhk, Double parking when it is not allowed, stop your car anywhere you want to, speed driving and endanger other motorists, not stopping at zebra crossing or see who is going to pass the yellow light before it turns read are some bad examples that always happen here and I am just one of the victims of the situation. Why did these people get their driving license? Hmmm... I just wonder now!

i guess we have to always welcome ourselves to the perfect truth of the flaw new world :)! Sometimes its a trend not to follow the rules, as if its cool when you do such different acts. For youngsters it looks WOW amongst their peers, but some adults do that too :0?

Hello checapricorn, I love driving but I really hate when this situation happens. These irresponsible drivers should be taken off from the road. There are road bullies, irresponsible speed drivers, rude and ignorant people. How they can pass their driving test, huh?

Hello tzaddi, I have less fun while driving because of them. They just spoil my mood sometimes. I really don't like these irresponsible drivers. They just don't care about others. But of course I won't be moody throughout the day just because of them. It is just not worth it

People are getting very impatient nowadays, or either they just being careless on others. We face traffic abuser everyday due to lack of time and rush. All we can do is to just do our very best, and try not to offend others and taking others offensive too... saying is always easier than do! LOL

Hello cwong77, Yes, you are right! After 10 years, I hate driving in the city here! Last week, I almost hit a motorist at the traffic light. The light turned green and my car was the second car and out of nowhere, this guy sped his bike like no other business. I didn't bother actually whether I hit him or not, he swerved a bit; trying hard not being hit by my car. I think he was daydreaming and didn't see that the light for bright red for him!

Hello chigawaga, Oh, yes! You are right. I agree with you. If they are really in a hurry, maybe they should ask the police to escort them then....They can have the whole road for themselves! I am really tired of these drivers and it is not a nice experience if everyday people honk or show you fingers for no apparent reasons.

Rude motorists are common these days. The best way to deal with them is to note down their registration number that is the registration number of their vehicle and report to the necessary concerned authorities. That will make them realise their mistakes.

Hello cudamani, Sometimes things happen too fast that you can't even manage to memorize or jot down the registration number. If it is against the law, maybe the concerned authorities will take action against this culprit. But, for those rude motorists that I happen to see once a while (but very often) nothing can just scare them away!

I do agree that there a lot of ill mannered drivers out there! It is best not to provoke them more because we are just joining the same club, right? Another thing is that we will just consume our energy with their behavior. Just let them honk and let them overtake if they are in a hurry. Take precautions because I had an incident that the driver was just out there to provoke me. This is so scary and very annoying. Drive carefully and control your temper ......

Hello pal7604, Thanks for your advice. It is very dangerous here too as there are many road bully cases. As I am a woman, I do feel afraid sometimes. Normally I won't fight back but it does make me feel unhappy about it and lose the interest and fun of driving too.

Well, that's part of driving and motorist life. not every one follows the rules anymore (at least they used to be). and even some newly trained drivers are turning more into race car drivers taking over the road. Almost every one knows how to drive but not every one is disciplined or breeded to drive well. you really have to be patient and not to get in trouble with those kind of people. i believe they had been cooled off by now, so i suggest you forget it..

Hello Mikaela_taz25, They just make life difficult for others and really spoil other people's mood for nothing. Every time I need to drive, I always hope that I won't have a chance to meet these rude drivers. I love it when someone waves at me when I give him/her way or just drive politely on the road!

There is always unhappy people around us somewhere. Whether it's on the road, in the store or at the park. Just be thank full that you are not one of them and don't give them the benefit of stopping you from living your life the way you want. What comes around goes around. Chances are if he is that worked up about stopping at a traffic light, he has a lot more problems in his life. Now I have to admit, what I call "sunday drivers" do sometimes aggrevate me when I'm in a hurry. But it's your road as much as it is mine and if I'm in that much of a hurry to get somewhere, I should leave earlier :-)

Hello momoftwo, I like your last statement - leave earlier if you are in a hurry! I don't mind whether you want to speed as long as you don't cause troubles to other people. What I don't like about the irresponsible drivers are their inconsiderate behaviors and sometimes they are just plain rude. I am sure they too, will feel angry if others did the same thing to them or maybe worst, they will fight back!
