Hello dianmelydia!!! Nowadays Chinese mobile is taking the big market in my country Nepal too. They are very much cheaper in comparison to other popular brand mobiles. Also they have facilities more than that of any other expensive branded cell phones. The other thing is it has really good volume for listening music. And still I am afraid to buy these cell phone. The cell phone I am using now is Samsung. That cost me double than a Chinese mobile my friend bought and his mobile has many number of facilities than mine. But it is very difficult to find softwares for these Chinese mobile. This is the greatest defect. And another greatest defect is of course its reliability. We can't guarantee when it damage and the shopkeeper also don't give guarantee for Chinese mobile. They don't agree for any negotiation even if the mobile damaged within few days or within a week. I found myself pretty not good in handling things. I don't know why my things damage so easy even I try to handle them well. But Chinese people are really amazing. They do very crazy things. They are producing many such things not only mobiles at the cheaper price. What people understand in our country is that, Chinese materials are cheaper but not durable and when people say its Japanese, then they expect them to be pretty good in reliability but always expensive. Nice post...Happy mylotting...

Yes China and Nepal are the neighboring countries. And about java software, my friend searched a lot for installing some games, but no any games could be installed on his Chinese mobile.

I think Nepal is one of China neighbor country and there's should be alot of Chinese product there. Most Chinese mobile supporting Java technologies, i think we can install some J2ME applications there.

Yes, they are good but with no warantee period is a bit turn off for me. I have seen those sets but they are not that realiable and they will give problems after 6 or so months of use, it is true. The worst thing is that these will not be repairable here in India becasue there is no one knows about these mobiles. So, no option but to replace them with others!

I think people who bought those China mobile phone because of their cheap price. My friend has one the China TV phone and so far it can survive almost one year. I think it's a matter with luckiness. If you were lucky when you bought it, you'll got a good one. But i thing the lucky is about 1 per 100.

I won't say 1 per 100 but yes, there is a less probability that it will last but you need to take good care of it too!

many people are buying Chinese mobile phones, these are good , come with many features. Also their price is much less as compared to usual Finnish, or other country made mobile phones. While these Chinese mobiles are becoming very common, some people are also having doubts about their reliability. Since many of them do not come with warrante/guarantee, people hesitate in buying them

Yes. There's no warranty from the factory. But some local distributors give their own warranty which could be up to 5 years. I think that's just their marketing strategic.

Many of my friends has used china mobile phones.they are good looking and have too many facilities but the main problem with these handsets is that they are non repairable, ie they cannot be repaired if once they are damaged.

Perhaps that's why their price so cheap. I think we pay for the quality with the cheap price.

I think the quality is pretty good. The cell phone brand which I use now is Lenovo. I have used for two years. The phone runs well and never mistakes. But fakes really exist in the market. You should buy phone from formal stores and get the invoice. Don't buy from Internet.

They are good only for a limited period of time. They are not as sturdy as the ones from reputed companies and once something happens to them, you can almost say goodbye to them without hesitation. They are feature packed and all but they do not really have a long life time. Usability is good and people like them since they are cheap and are user friendly. bourne

Well i don't have one but i got to hold and test my friend's china phone and seriously, i think it's kind of low quality. The keys are pretty hard to press and the photos aren't really that great. I think it's a fake megapixel label. I don't think it's a megapixel quality kind of photo. It's just enlarged. I think it would be a disadvantage for me personally to own one because i don't think it can support MMS that's credited by the network provider. Maybe the tv is really a good feature. I think that's the only good thing i can think of china phones.

Good day, dianmelydia. I don't have that but here in the Philippines, many people use china phones because it is cheap. Its advantages were the following: 1. You now have a touch screen phone at a cheaper price. 2. It has two sim slots. 3. Able to play media files of any extension. 4. It has built in television. 5. Security password for bluetooth. And I found out those disadvantages: 1. Unable to install java games and applications. 2. The phone has a warranty but the touch screen function has not. 3. Cannot be reprogrammed by computers. 4. Its built in browser can't access to other sites since applications can't be installed. Extra care is required to keep it in good condition. Some people can't determine whether it is an original unit or it is made in china. This was my response, happy mylotting...=)
