Why don't you put some news paper or something over it and then you could discard it and not have to wash it off all the time.I have a lot of cardinals in my yard.later.

We have loads of birds in our garden and feed them and leave fresh water out for them.We love to watch the baby birds play and learn to fly.My husband had made two bird tables, nest boxes and it looks like we have plenty of takers,we put out monkey nuts, wild bird seed and sunflower seeds,Sunflowers attract the finches green, gold.Blue T its {you have to seperate the word or its rejected]Robins, blackbirds, coal T its ,and lots more.We also have lots of hedgeing with berries including holly, bereberries.to name a few.We have also got a Budleah which attracts butterflys. Also a log pile which makes a good home for insects which in turn attracts the birds to eat them. Our garden is like a supermarket for the birds, wild rabbits. It is lovely out there.xx

I think it's funny when you say your garden is like a supermarket for the birds, rabbits, etc. I'm sure it's true, though. I remember how it was when daddy was living. We used to keep a garden all the time back then and the rabbits, birds, squirrels, moles, etc. were always a problem. It sounds like your place is very beautiful. I love butterflies and so did my mother. I'm not sure if I know what a budleah is, though. What do they look like? I might have seen one but didn't know what it was called.Kathy.

I don;t know that I would call myself a birdlover- but I have a bird bath in my courtyard and we put out a couple of hummingbird feeders every year- those feeders also attract butterflies which we love. Good luck and happy birdwatching to you!

Heyya anniefannie! I do like birds although I am by no means the birdwatcher. I hav had my eye on this copper finished birdbath at Lowes now for about two weeks..lol. I have these two yellow finches that are just beautiful that live in a cowboy boot birdhouse that my b/f loves. There are also these HUGE hawks that live in the field behind my house I keep my eye on because I worry about my chihuahuas when their outside. I would love to have a hummingbird feeder. I don't know if they would come because I do live in a city but kinda in the country.

We have several feeders that we can watch from our sunroom. There is also a bird bath and a couple of bird houses. We put up a martin house near our garden to keep pests under control. I have seen a couple of birds going in and out of it, but I am thinking they are not purple martins. They are a very pretty blue color. Have fun birding!

I like birds. They are pretty to look at and I like to hear them sing, especially in the springtime. No, I never have put out feeders and bird houses. I do have a bird bath in my back yard. I also have a little bird house behind my mailbox. Mother really liked birds. She never did want to have to take care of one, though. Kathy.
