How do YOU drive people to your work?

I am writing articles at Bukisa that today rest in quiet loneliness as if they were in the back end of the refrigerator. Yes, back beside the remnants of Easter Sunday dinner and something other family members have longsince stopped considering as food, my articles rest awaiting their day in the sun - - or at least outside of the refrigerator. I would appreciate your thoughts as I know my work has potential to reach readers with a satisfying mix of substance and spice. If only I could move them from their cold darkness toward the front of the refrig and later into the sunlight and open air. I would appreciate your thoughts...

I publish articles on Triond, and I have used a variety of methods to drive eyeballs to my work. By far the most effective has been Twitter. What I did was to befriend people who share my interests by searching for tweets that contain keywords such as 'writing' or 'travel' and following those folks. A percentage of them follow you back, and over time you build up an audience. I don't know about Bukisa, but Triond even has an automatic system that tweets when a new article is published by you. Twitter not only helps me get views, but I met a radio host who liked my work and set me up with a one hour interview over the air in Los Angeles. I very highly recommend signing up with Twitter and learning about it if you have not already. Feel free to follow me, my name there is carcher777 also :)
