I don't remember when I started walking, but it was many years ago. I always prefer to walk instead of biking or taking the bus. The longest distance I ever walked on one day was about 18 miles. At that time I lived in a town called Horsens in Denmark, and close to this town there are a couple of different islands. One day I decided to walk to one of islands. It was a very beautiful walk, I walked through forests and through a couple of villages. I got lost at one point and I was starting to get nervous, but luckily I managed to find the right street in the end. I was really tired when I finally got to the island, I and caught the bus back to Horsens.

Before, and just after my RSI problems, I used to walk seven miles a day, in almost a circle, through three villages out in the country. Since my knee succombed to the RSI though, I've been unable to do that, and I miss it a lot. Nowadays, I struggle to get further than the bottom of the street, but I often go up to the churchyard and sit there for a bit of peace and quiet, or over to the millponds which are about a mile away. I love those two places.
Brightest Blessings.

hello ajithlal!
i first learned to walk i think when i was one year old. ^^ and then, the longest distance i have walked, non-stop? probably when i was working as a community organizer. there was a whole month of going to remote towns to conduct leadership trainings for the towns people and these places aren't really reachable by taxis or any transportation. there are those towns which you could reach only through going through forests, farms, and even if there are roads accessible by vehicles, you would still have to walk if you didn't catch the last trip. in some places, there would only be vehicles available early in the morning. if you got late, you'd have to wait for the next day. ^^;;
but i still couldn't be sure if that's the longest i've walked. if you would consider mountain hiking, then i'll count that as one of the longest i've walked. and then there was also a time back when i was in college when we had to walk up a mountain even though we weren't there for hiking but because we were trying to get to a town up up (and away) the mountain to join their festival. we didn't know the schedule of the vehicle so we had to walked. ^^;;

I think there was once when I was younger where I took the wrong bus and the station was somewhere really far from my home and it was late at night so I had to walk to home. I think it may not be the longest distance I ever travelled but since it was night and I was sleepy it felt like a neverending walk in the darkness and I was really tired when I got home.

I love walking and i got this skills of me from my auntie. Ive been to many long walks but i cant really tell, which of it are the longest. Maybe it is when i went to Baguio City with my classmates. Actually we walk everywhere just try to explore stuffs, i also remembered that at time, we were pretty much upset because after we've done the walk we've realized that we are that doom. We can just walk those long distance in a short distance, because we just found a shortcut. We really hate knowing that we took the long cut, instead of the short cut. HAHA
