I think there should be some free DTH like DD Direct plus with lot of free channels that can be got through the Ku band antenna.

We don't have cable out here in the countryside, where I live. We can buy a Sky Dish and have that installed but it's expensive for the amount of time that I actually sit down and watch the television, so I don't have it. If I want to watch my favourite sports or football programmes, I pop down to the pub just fifty yards away, and watch it there with a pint, and good company! Brightest Blessings.

Longtime go cables were very expensive and it was dream to have one. Now a days it has come down because of high competition. I hope the cost will come more down so that common people can afford it.

I am not the biggest fan of TV and honestly couldn't care about having lots of channels - a few of the good ones would be enough for me. However hubby loves to watch TV. We have satellite with I don't know how many million channels LOL - ok so I'm exaggerating a bit, but that's how it feels for me hehehehe No matter how much it costs it will always sound expensive for me but I honestly do believe cable or satellite is expensive in here, specially because people are seldom satisfied with basic and always want more. Combining packages becomes really expensive and I know of people that pay over almost $200 a month for their channels.

We have SkyCable, which is a local cable connection here in the Philippines. It has 76 channels to choose from which I'm very satisfied with and costs about 650 pesos per month. It's very affordable and the SkyCable Admin is very friendly because, once we had a cable connection problem and after 1 hour, they came and fixed the problem. Anyways, happy earning!

Here there are Direct to home services available. The problem with direct to home services. They were less cost initially. Now a days you have to pay per channel for pay channels.
