I used to think that men should never cry in front of anyone because it makes them less of a man because I was raised to believe it, but I feel differently now. Men are people and they have feelings like everyone else and if they cry it just shows they are human.

I think he is more of man to cry and show his true feelings. I don't think men cry enough, they try to be too hard and tough but that is not necessary to prove you are a man. As a woman I don't mind seeing that sensitive side of a man.

Why do people think crying is a sign of weakness? It's just that the person is also emotional and has a heart. Just because someone cry doesn't mean that they are weak and worthless. I had to face that syndrome some years ago. I got emotional over something and cried a bit and my friends were like cryin is for girls and what not. bourne

Men are still human and have feelings too. Crying is a way of releasing a strong anger or depression or even happiness. Crying makes you feel better and makes you express your feelings and emotions depending on the situations you encountered. I cry when I'm sad and when I'm happy. I don't hide it and I don't want to hide it. I am a real man with straight heart of being a man and I'm not a shame if someone will see me crying. I don't consider crying as an unmanly gesture. Boys do cry. And there is nothing wrong with crying. Girls doesn't have all the rights to cry but boys have the rights too.

Nah, crying is a part of our bodily functions. We cry everytime we feel pain physically or emotionally. That's how our body works. Crying works whether you're a man or a woman. I don't think i would feel less of a man if ever i cry over something. I even think that it's a genuine feeling when someone cries over something. It would be worse if one hides his feeling by not crying right? It will give an impression that he is insensitive or something.

Well its certainly a wrong notion that if a man cries he is less of a man......crying has a scientific reasoning to it......and when god made human beings he gave this to both man and women.....it is more of a relief when a person cries.....it helps you come out of stress and depression.....oh yes there are men who would not like to cry physically, i mean they wont like to show it,........but then inside they certainly cry and that is more bad and can effect your physical as well as mental well being........just like your dad when he prays......he might be feeling the power of god, his consoling power.......and hence the release of tears.......i certainly don't feel there is anything wrong in it......i am a man.....i don't cry, not because of the above said reason.....but i really don't feel like crying many a times......but sometimes i do cry..... Have a nice day !!!!

I think that is an old "macho belief system" that has evolve over time. But I think that is not applicable in our present times. Crying is a good way to vent out our feelings of sadness, anger or grief. We should never stop it if ever we feel like crying.
