Have you had any experience with other online auction sites other than ebay? Do you think ebay is the best or are there some that are competitive?

Oh there are so many more than ebay. On that comes to my mind at this moment is called blujay.com. It is free and really setup simliar to ebay. I have tried to sell on the site but I have had no luck. The last time I checked the site was free but that could have changed. Check it out and see if you like it. Take care and happy mylotting to you friend:)

I was tired of ebay fees which kept accumulating, as well as fees from paypal. It was getting to the point that it was not worth the hassle anymore. I did list a few things on BidJunk.com and Webidz.com where there are no listing fees. I had some luck on Webidz, where you can list an item for a longer period of time with no listing fees. The problem is that most people go to ebay automatically so there is not as much traffic on these sites. However, if you have patience, you might have the same luck I've had. Good Luck!

There are a lot of other online auction sites besides eBay. I had have ever put things to sell on Yahoo! auction before a few years back (Yahoo! auction in my country is now replaced with a new one called Gmarket). I did not manage to sell the item at the site, nor I had luck with eBay too. There are also a lot of other local auction sites in my country, but I did not try it after viewing the different sites (too few transactions in all those I found). Ultimately, for now, I'm sticking with eBay to list my items for auction/sale. To me, there are more buyers looking in eBay for items which they like to buy, and a lot more transactions are seen in eBay. I have had some success in selling some of my items over the eBay website as well.
