Honey is also good for alergies. It must be a local honey.(not a mass produced honey) The bees polinate the local flowers and therefore it helps reduce hayfever and different allergies. I have used this with my son aand husband for years and it works great!

I found this to be very interesting. How do you use it to reduce allergies? Right now my daughter is having a rough time and I don't want to give her medicine if I can help it. I happen to have some organic honey in my cabinet. If I can use that instead of pharmaceuticals I will be very happy.

As long as they honey was "grown" locally you just put some in ice tea or over pancakes instead of syrup, also it is good on cantalope! I know that when my son starts getting the sniffles he will break out the honey! Some allergies though will need to be treated with meds. The honey mostly works for things like hayfever, pollen, ragweed that sort of thing.

That's right, especially New Zealand Maluka Honey. It's good for lots of things. I love honey, especially when I add lavender flowers to make it into Lavender Honey. It's yummy! Lavender is also very useful in the kitchen as it helps burns, but that's the oil version. Brightest Blessings.

That is neat. I have heard of many things about honey also. It can be used for so many things, it seems.

Yes, I have read this fact in the internet. The most recommended honey to cure wounds (even gangrenous wounds in diabetic people and cancerous wounds in conjunction with chemotherapy/radiation) is the Manuka honey from New Zealand although almost all honey do have healing properties. The only thing is that it stings so bad that the patient should be given Morphine or pain relievers prior to application. The dressing must be occlusive and must not allow leaks at the sides. I have read of wonderful facts that it's too lengthy to write it down here. But yes, I have learned of such power of honey.

hi, I don't know that it has that power. I know it's good for health. I eat some honey before my breakfast every day. It tastes great. Now, I learn something new about it from you. Thank you for sharing it.

You're right. Honey is also great if you have a sore throat. Just dissolve some in hot water, add a bit of lemon juice and you've got a wonderful soothing drink. It's far better than much more expensive medication that just does the same thing.
