Today my daughter said to me, "I love you, but..."

It was dinner time and I was trying to convince my daughter to try out butter beans. She protested for ten minutes. Finally she agreed to try one out. Usually when she tries out food, she likes it. But not this time. She thought the beans were gross and didn't even bother pretending. Later she told me, "I love you. But not the butter bean." Too funny! What funny thing has someone said to you today?

I really can't blame your daughter. I detest butter beans as well, especially as I was MADE to eat them at school. That has stayed with me for life and since I left school, I haven't touched one. Quite frankly, nobody has said anything too funny to me today, as I haven't been in the company of anybody but kids do say the funniest things. The little girl I used to look after came home from kindergarten one day, and she told me that every morning, when they went into kindergarten, they had to say, "Good Morning, Bun George!" I said, "Who is Bun George Niamh?" She said, "Nooooooo... not Bun George, Bun George!" It took me ages before I started giggling. It suddenly dawned on me what she was saying was, "Good Morning, Bonjour!" They were teaching the little mites how to say good morning in French! Brightest Blessings.

Awwww your daughter sounds adorable! Bless her little sweet heart! When I was a young girl, my cousin's mother would try her best to get her to eat but she wouldn't so her mother would say "if you eat this, you'll be big and strong just like daddy!" and she shot back, "No! I wanna be big and strong just like Mary Beth!" (Me) lol Her mother didn't like me or anybody on her husband's side of the family so it was a shot down for her to hear her daughter to say that!! But I loved it!! LMBO!! Get this too, they married on MY birthday so go figure! She was such a capital "B" and now my uncle is divorced. HA HA HA HA!!

Aww, that's just precious. My fiance hasn't gotten up yet so nothing has been said to me at all. When I woke up and walked around, my fiance's dad was the only one here and awake, so I guess I'll have to wait until my fiance gets up to see if he says anything funny.

That is so cute. Children say the sweetest things when they are that young. I think it is because they are so innocent at that age.

Not today I guess. Today, my daughter is down with fever. But, funny thing is that last night my daughter was counting how many of her friends were sick and having fever. Then, when she woke up this morning, she was down with fever at 38 degrees. Then she counted herself in as well. Ha Ha ...

LOL - that was adorable! It also took me back. My girl was about 5 and had a really bad day. Apparently she was mad at me for doing something in her room. She said she loved me but didn't have to like me all the time. Out of the mouths of babes can strike a big core in us. What she said really made sense to me because I've felt like that.

No kids in my life and they are the ones who usually say cute things. Enjoy your daughter and don't make her eat the lousy butter beans, I live most beans, but not butter beans, so I don't blame her one bit!

My son, who wasn't fond of vegetables when he was young, said at dinner one night, "You know, I'm really starting to like my vegetarians!" Then our daughter said, "I'm going to have to warn my vegetarian friends..." When we used to ask him to try new foods, he would never refuse. Once, when he tried something new, we asked him, "Wasn't that good?" He replied, "Yes." We then asked, "Do you want some more?" His reply: "Not thanks."

That is cute! I don't think that anyone said anything like that to me. I am glad to see that you make her try things even though she protests. Try again in a few years and she might like them. I have a daughter who doesn't like them either. She has tried them several times and just doesn't care for the taste. I love them! Thanks for the smile.

Hello beautyqueen26, Oh, she is so cute! As usual, it's my son who always make my day. Yesterday, he kept saying these words 'Oh,my God!' I don't know whether he fully understands what it means. When he called me, he said, 'Oh, my God! Mummy!'. He saw an insect and said, 'Oh, my God! Worm!'(all insects are 'worm' to him) He even told his Daddy yesterday, 'Daddy loved to work before. Daddy likes jogging now. Oh, my God!'

I cannot think of anything funny that someone has said to me today but I really have to agree with your daughter on the butter beans! My dad used to love butter beans and he used to make me eat them as a child and they are the most disgusting bean I have ever eaten in my life. I used to swallow them whole to get them down without tasting them, I would have a tissue with me too so I could spit them into that when he was not looking or a glass of water so that I could wash them down fast!! They are vile.

That's so interesting. Your girl is very lovely. I don't have a child now, but I have a cute niece. She always speaks out some funny sentences. Words spoken by children are real and funny. I hope that I could have a cute child two years later.
