anyone hears of amitriptyline

the dr gave me it yesterday for pain and migrains it is mainly for depression but it can be used for other things , last night was my first time taking it and when i woke up this morning i still had a headace and i am dizzy and feel like i am in another time zone and i don't like it at all, has anyone ever taken amitriptyline before and how did or does it work for you,

I took amitriptyline once and the doctor changed it because it didn´t agree with me. Not all meds are good for all people. You should ask your doctor.

I have not taken it, but know of people who have taken it for chronic pain. I would say that you should talk to the pharmacist and see if your side effects are serious or if they are likely to subside as you use it awhile.
