is it good to wear contacts?

contacts are good for some people, and not for others I have a friend that had to stop wearing them because her eyes couldn't get enough oxygen thru them, I had to stop because my eyes are an allergy target and my eyes were too itchy to wear them

I have never worn contacts. I think it depends on what correction your eyes need. My daughter had them for awhile but then decided that they were too much bother. She had a lot of allergies to dust and such, and it was worse with the contacts.

I have heard that contact lens does keep our eye sight in control. For a person, who is myopic and cannot see long distance objects, its good to wear contacts when still young. It keeps the power in check. The idea is the more close the lens to our eyes is the more ckear we can see and in glasses you must have noticed that if it gets loose, we press it towards our nose just to have a better vision. Having said this, inspite of my repeatedly trials i could never really manage to go for contact lenses. i am much comfortable with glasses. More over contact requires a daily cleaning regime which it boring at times.

Hello fwangaa. I don't think that it is good to wear contacts as it makes the eyes infectious very easily. I have never worn them, but quite a few of my students wear them and I often see that they have some trouble with the contacts. I still prefer to wear my glasses as I am used to them.

i have the same problem. i have purchased the most expansive ones but i never use them. as every time i took them off my eyes turn red. and i don't like this thing. i love my eyes.

I've been wearing contacts for 9 years already and I like it better than wearing glasses for the reason that I can move more with it comfortably. There are contacts which are disposable and those that can last for a year. I usually buy the disposable ones. They last for a month and then I change them. I do not like the idea of wearing contacts for a year without changing them. I also wear my contacts only when I go out. when I'm just watching TV, I would wear my glasses just so my eyes can rest. When wearing contacts, make sure that your hands are clean. Also, avoid too much exposure to dust cause it may cause irritation.

Hi fwangaa, Yes it is safe to use contact lenses, at first its not very comfortable but you will get used to it, I think its better then wearing glasses but I have to wear them. Tamara

Hi,my dear friend,if you want to wear contacts you should have a test of your eyes first to make sure whether the contacts are suitable for you.I bought a pair of contacts one year ago and just wore it for just six months long because they make my eyes itch.My eyes were uncomfortable after a long period of using the contacts.I think the contacts can increase the chance of being affected by bacteria.I think I will never wear the contacts any more.You'd better ask for some professional suggestions before wearing the contacts.
