i really hate this topic, i am a Filipino, i am a call center agent, i am very good with English, others say i sound like a French Canadian, other say i sound like I'm from Ohio, people who have called in and got me as a representative gave me all the "thank you's" and all the respect they would give for people of their race. i call it basic and stock knowledge while they say I'm a genius and i am brilliant. its commonsense to me but it requires understanding for them. i can spell English words better and faster while some struggle for it they gave me all the praise anyone can ever wanted but the moment they find out I'm a Filipino, the story would change, they would say I'm a terrorist and that i am a hack and a fraud, they would even call me Indian thou i just said I'm a Filipino. after all the help they asked for, and all the help i provided, they would look down on me

What has a Filipino (if I may use the term) got to do with terrorism. I know of no person from your country who has taken to terrorist activity. But this is the way they are. I have experience the same when I worked in the call centre. And one faces this more if you are working for a U.S based process. This kind of experiences will be far lesser for a person who is into a U.K based or Australian processes. Anyway ignore it. Till we as asians can go back to what our ancient civilizations had proven. That we are the best. The greatest. So just ignore such people. They are no good for you.

Is it. Well not as bad as terrorist groups like Al Qaeda or Palestine terrorism or the once upon a time Irish terrorism.

Racism is a sad reality. The world is full of morons and racists are some of the worst. On the other hand, I bet there are also callers who are amazed and fascinated that their call got picked up by an agent halfway around the globe.:)

I hate racism too because this divides us. Racism is a major problem in our world today. We should try our best to eliminate it. We are all humans and it would have been better if every humans understand this concept.

The problem of racisum exsit in every part of the world. I'm a Hong Kong born Asian, but has been living in New Zealand since I was 11. I have experienced some of the worst put downs being thrown at by other Western immigrants as I was just minding my own business walking along the road! I just feel so sad for those people who put down others because that's all they can do to make themselves feeling tough and being more superior.

Hi, I am indian and i as well hate racists. Through out my life as a kid i have been made fun of my race. I have been called a "pile of ****" which really upset me. And also have been made fun of my turban. Some people, after the 9/11 attack, make fun of my turban. They think that i have a bomb in my turban, and that really pisses me off. I mean i am a whole different race. I am Sikh. Our turbans are very different. Ours are a little pointed and there are not. And i am a factory worker and many people tell me that i shouldn't be here when i do alot more than they do. Someone has to do something about this.

Well, the world is full of noobs who just like to start fights for nothing. They think they are superior while they don't know sh1te about things. The moment you reveal your nationality, they tend to act crazy and act all unfriendly. I don't know why people try to put others down with their words instead of actions. If you think that you are better than someone else, show it in your actions rather than words. bourne

I am French Canadian, I'm not racist, and I don't like racists either. When I tell some people that I'm French Canadian, some think that I'm a 'seperatist' and don't like the English Canadian and such, which is absolutely untrue. The province I live in has wanted to leave Canada for a long time. This province is the dominantly French province of the country. It's a complicated issue that I don't fully understand myself. The thing is I'm half French, half Irish. Hence, why I consider myself French Canadian. I hate the fact that some people assume that I want Quebec (the province I live in) to separate from Canada, just because I'm from the province, because I'm French Canadian, which I don't and I'm not. I hate it.

There's some racism down in Florida where I am because we have a large Cuban and Hispanic populatioln. There are those who treat these people like they're stupid because they don't speak English very well, or with an accent or because they're "different". I have never liked this and have always tried to teach my children how ugly racism is. When I was a child I had a friend who was black and we weren't allowed to go to each other's homes but we were able to play together at the playground nearby. At first I didn't understand why and, when I finally did understand...I wished I hadn't been told because the reasoning was stupid. Fortunately, those days are long gone.

Some people are just idiots and there is no explaining things to them. All you can do is just ignore their remarks and their racist attitude.

I'm asian and I hate racists too. I have friends from different race (caucasian, asian, african, hispanic) and we get along fine for more than 10 years now. For me the most important thing is that they treat me with respect, if they do, then I will treat them with respect as well. Don't worry my friend, those racists don't deserve your friendship or help. So just forget them and carry on your life. There are still many good people here in MyLot that you can be friends with :) Cheers :)
