it is 100 degrees outside!!

So in the heat do you let your pets in during the heat of the day or do you just make sure they have a cool place to be outside and plenty of water?
I bring my dogs inside but I do not have the ACs in just fans in the windows and so there is only a slight break from the heat. But I do put ice in their water every time I refill my glass so that we can all stay cool.
How bout ya'll?

I don't have Fridge or AC in my house. I rely on my fan in summer time. It was 107 degrees out side till yester day but last evening we had a good showers and hence it is rather cool right now. But I know that this would not last too long and we will face even more hot time this year. Speculation is that we can cross 115 degrees this year!

While I appriciate your response I do not think you read anything but what it showed on the page with all of the disscusions. Do you have pets that are in this heat with you?

No my dog stays in for a better part of the day. He only goes outside in hot weather when he needs to do his business. That would be animal cruelty to leave a dog out with temperatures that high. I also put ice in his water during the summer.

My dogs love ice water. It is their favorite part of the summer. They will sit in front of the fridge and beg for a piecce of ice if we are getting some for our drinks.

It has not got that hot yet here in Ohio. All my pets expect the Dog are inside pets. We crank on the AC and sit and lounge the day away if it is hot and we do not put on the AC we make sure there is plenty of water for them and make sure they are doing okay.
