Almost berry season!

Last year, I believe in June, the berries (black and red raspberry) were blooming. My son and I would go out every day and pick a bucket full. I checked the berry bushes about 2 weeks ago and they had buds, but were all green and hard. I'm hoping they bloom in about a month or so, I'm so excited. I know it's dorky, but I think berry picking is so fun! I still have a bowl full in my freezer from last year. Maybe this year, I'll actually make something yummy with the berries. Anyone else as excited as me?

I like all kinds of berries. I have not been to pick any in a very long time though. I love fresh strawberries.

I love all berries and fruit. I still have yet to pick any, but they are ready and ripe! Maybe if the weather cools off some I can go get some soon!

Oh sounds great..I use to go and pick berries with my mom when we were young and had so much fun..but I think we ate more then what made it into the baskets..lol.

I see the berries outside have bloomed, but I haven't had time to go pick any :( My boy had surgery, and it's been so hot and muggy outside that I can't take him outside with me right now. Darn. Maybe soon before the berries disappear.

I've picked strawberries before and we didn't stop until we had 6 baskets full.

It's so fun to berry pick! I can't wait until ours are ripe. Last year, my son sat in his buggy while me and the 9 year old picked them, but I think this year he will be more into it. Actually, last year he picked leaves off of bushes because he didn't know what we were really picking, it was pretty funny. He will be 3 years old on the 7th of June, so maybe he will understand it better now. LOL
