I do! At the college I work at we have a professer who has been teaching here since 1958! He has not teached anywhere else and isn't ready to retire! This professor is 79 years young and when you look at him he'd think he's only 65! Do you know anyone who's had only one job in their life?

I know one such man.My dad. He is a physcist and he has spent his entire life in the same institue. He joined as a recruit and finally rose to become the head of his divison. I only wish I had the will power and patience like him to stick with one thing. But then he loved what he did so it was play for him. He has retired now, but he is still in love with his books and would not go a day without solving some physics or math problem :)

Yes I do know someone that has had only one job in his life and retired from that same job 1990. My father. He worked his entire life at Kimberly Klark here in Ontario. He started out as a mill worker in 1955 and when he retired in 1990 he was a supervisor. My brothers both worked there as thier first jobs but have since moved on to totally different careers.

I sure don't know anyone who has one job their entire life. In my opinion I think people should have a mix of jobs to interpret new skills. I mean I got my first job when I was 16 at a resturant and I knew it wasn't my career but at the time I ended up getting assistant manager so I already had management background. But I guess when it comes to teaching people do stay at one place longer than normal.
