I just want to know how high can a cat jump down from? Some people said that cat can jump down from 10 stories building without hurting them. The soft pad on their paws protect them or something similar like that. Does anyone know how high can a cat jump down from?

I really don't know how high a cat can jump down from. However, I do know that one of our cats once jumped out of a window on the second floor - something like 20 - 30 feet on to a stone paved yard. We all rushed outside expecting to find the cat splattered all over the yard, but she was perfectly fine, strolling away down the yard when we all got outside.
At another time, another one of our cats, might even have been the same cat, got itself stuck at the top of a telephone pole which must have been at least 40 feet high. My mother's comment was "It got it'self up there, it can get it'self down"
Eventually it just jumped off, but not all the way to the ground. There was a hawthorn hedge near the pole and the cat jumped off into the hedge. Considering that hawthorn bristles with thorns, it seemed to be able to do this without getting itself turned into a pincushion - which was a minor miracle in itself.
