How high can a cat jump down from?

I just want to know how high can a cat jump down from? Some people said that cat can jump down from 10 stories building without hurting them. The soft pad on their paws protect them or something similar like that. Does anyone know...

cheese123 i dont know how high they can exactly jump from but my cat has got a habbit of jumping out of my bedroom window to the floor with no problem at all so i think they could jump from much higher objects
