I don't agree with it. I never respect people only because he/she is tall. I have discussed this topics with my hubby, as I am not tall, I am only 5'3 which is normal for a woman in my place and my hubby is above average which is 6'. We shared the idea why taller people we met show more confident than others. Indeed I don't think taller people must be better than others. We are all equal.

as a not very tall person, I do think that tall people do have a bit easier time with many things, except that tall women sometimes are not as often asked out because they are tall, men seem to be intimidated by them.

I have never gave it much thought about the tallness before. I am shirt though and do not get respected by others most of the time but I do not think it is height related.

Well I dont know about respected but I know girls like them a lot more. Dont see whats so great about a tall guy anyway why are women so obsessed with having a tall guy I just dont get it. But as for respect goes I dont think so there probally just as respected as the rest of us.

Hey fwangaa! I don't understand why that should be true, but it does seem to be the case. I do believe that sometimes people with more height seem to be more respected then people of a shorter stature. It shouldn't be like that! Height has nothing to do with how smart a person is or anything else for that matter! But, it does seem that just because a person is taller and they can look down on people that they tend to do this in every way! And it isn't fair and it isn't the way that it should be! Having height doesn't make you smarter or nicer or anything else! In fact it sometimes does just the opposite!

For some reason, it does tend to work out that way. Someone taller people are perceived better and this has real-life advantages. Statistically most things are better for them. The US presidency is usually won by the taller candidate because of the way people tend to view height.
