i think anyone who is married or have children at home needs time to themselves. i have always had to have some quiet time to myself. when my children were home & i worked i always got up earlier than i needed to to get my day started quietly. i just think everybody needs some quiet time.

I think it just depends on how you say it. To just say "leave me alone," may hurt people's feelings. We all need our "me" time... so if you use other words that say the same thing...they will probably be more understanding.

Leave me alone - I very much like my own company.
I would always like to have a great company of smart, witty and like minded people. Or else I would like to be left alone.I like my own company rather than to be with duds.To be able to be alone rather than with a bad company is the height of bliss for meAnd Riya, one of my favorite songs is Leave me alone by Michael Jackson. The song is so beautiful and the video is still more beautiful.

Left you alone! LOL! I have never used this quote at all. I think I have a fobia of being alone. I can't stay alone, I need someone with me all the times. Even an internet will be a good friend to me at times but leaving me alone, sorry, I will allow you do that!

I usually don't say anything when I'm not in a positive mood. I usually get of the crowd, move towards a place where there is none; Where there is peace; Where nature shows it's power. This kind of a place help me a lot. I get out of my problem so quickly.

But this kinda situation will not favor all people. Some may take a 'wrong' decision when they are alone!

I do not say these kinds of words to anyone. However, in my heart of heart, sometimes I feel that I should be left alone and I should be allowed to do the tasks, as per my wishes. Sometimes it feels very soothing to think alone and alone and making castles in the air.

i do agree, sometimes i do feel claustrophobic and do need my space but i find it difficult to say,i think ,it should be understood without saying.

Yes, someone should understand it without saying. One thing you can do is, when you wish to be left alone, you can go to the roof top or any such place, if feasible or to an isolated place (please do not laugh 'wash room' could be one of the options....LOL!)

When I and my husband have an argument, I usually tell him to leave me alone and go jump in the sea. haha. At times, people who are closest to you make you feel so miserable, you want them to leave you in peace and go off somewhere, so that you are to yourself and can cool down. So its more with loved ones than friends or aquaintances. If I dont like someone, I walk off politely instead of telling the other person to leave me alone.

I have - when im tired im grumpy and stresed. I need alone time or i get even grumpier. I dont have to tell people so much now because I visit my family but i can go home to my own house and be alone when i need to be alone. I find when i'm around my bf if i need alone time all i have to do is go have a bath - he respects that I go there to relax and be alone for a bit.

Bath is great way to relax and refresh yourself. I find this in an occasional way. Maybe it don't work for others, but it works great for me.

hahaha I say that too sometimes specially to friends who are so annoying, keep on telling you what to do and how to react into some things. I don't want to be dectated of what I will do. They can give advice but not to dictate me of what am going to do. It is pretty much annoying that is why I can sometimes tell them to LEAVE ME ALONE.

yes i have said those words and as you said in different contexts.sometimes when i just want to be alone and do not want to be disturbed you know just to have some peace of mind.sometimes when i am studying i cannot concentrate with excessive noise or someone constantly chattering into my ear.even while doing some important work i like to focus on the task at hand rather than do many things at once.rarely when i get angry do i say that because that only worsens the situation.

Yes , infact many times . I am introvert kind of person and don't like much crowded places . Many times i love to give time to myself in reading books , surfing online and doing other stuffs . I really get mad sometimes when any one tries to disturb me . But i know its a bad habit.

I am like you aakansha12! I have been accused of being totally anti social at times! I much prefer to spend time on my own writing, reading, watching films or MyLotting than going out socially. I used to feel there was something wrong with that but now that I am older and a little wiser I have decided that this just who I am and it's not all that bad! I do have a few close friends and because of my introvert personality I am a lot more selective in my choice of friends. It's all about balancing your life I think!

Hello riyasam, Whenever I say these words, I really mean the other way. When I feel stress and tension, I prefer to be alone so that I won't hurt people with my words and I have more time to think nicely. But at the same time, I want someone to talk to so that I won't feel too lonely. I never said it in a rude manner but when you are down, that is the thing that you care less.

I definitely have done such things. most of the time, I do this when I go through difficuties and feel stressed. I need to be alone to calm down and figure out solutions or give myself courage to face difficuties. While that happens, my mood tends to be bad and i can't control my attitude so sometimes I may hurt other people even my family members.

Wow I say this way too much! It always sounds really harsh too and I dont ever mean for it to be. I just simply want to be left alone. I am still trying to find s more tactful way of saying it. That would probably work out better. :)

Ive said that phrase many times with my ex- boyfriend and it took me two years to really decide and said to him it's enough! Words are powerful as what I believed and everytime i say this phrase i really consider the feeling of others and my feelings as well. I also take the consideration that I might hurt someone's feeling and I will take all the full load of what they called responsibility. I just dont say that phrase if not necessary but if i need to i blew it away.

I say it to my husband sometimes. Not as a mean thing to say, but I relax best when I just have some quiet time to myself. So, if I've had a stressful or upsetting day, I'd rather be alone, even if just for a small amount of time so I can unwind.
