If I am not mistaken, Black,White,Hispanic,Chinese etc.... all committ crimes. I watch my surroundings wherever I am because like it or not there are a lot of dangerous people in the world of every race. To answer the question...I think about the same thing when it comes to anyone....look what they have on, I check the way they are acting, or how many are together. This day and time we need to be cautious about everybody we meet on the street.

lovely answer, oh and to clear things up for everybody, i am not RACIST and im not caucasian, im african-american. I also agree with what you said about how you look at them. I do the same thing. I judge by how they present themselves. Oh and yes they all commit crimes but in the American Society, african-americans are the majority of the people in jail.

I am afraid of black people. I am pretty sure that most of them are committing some sort of crimes. I don't associate myself with them. I don't usually hurry up or get scared but I don't stick around long enough for anything bad to happen either.

I am black myself and sometimes I admit to crimes I didn't commit because just being black makes me feel guilty.

o.k now what if someone felt the same way about you, you wouldn't like that so you shouldn't be that way that's just crazy.

I don't actually see that many black people round where I live but when I do, I don't really think anything. There are some people who would make me feel a need to hide my belongings or hide but they could be any colour. I try to hide and protect my belongongs if someone walks too close to me. The last time I saw a black person on the street, I actually giggled to myself because I couldn't see his head against the background so it looked like a headless person was walking towards me.

Nothing really pops into my mind. I usually do the same thing I do with everybody - I look at their clothes and try to figure out how those clothes would look on me.

except if they're male. Then I think about how their clothes would look on my husband. I like fashion. (I'm just not very good at it).

yea thats true, but personality wise not all of them are. I when I made this discussion I was mainly thinking about the ones who say they are from the "hood".

No. Why should I get scared? They didnt do anything to me. I would probably be checking him out and give my comment to who was with me about how good looking he is. I dont think anything different about a black on the street as apposed to a white on the street. There are some whites that are worse than some of the blacks.

Red, yellow, black or white. I see everyone the same. Just a person making a living for him or herself. I can be scared of a white person just as much as I could a black person,

I see beautiful neighbors and friends who have been kind and good to me. Three of these neighbors weeded and planted a garden as a surprise for two of us who had operations in my apartment building. Today at our Sunshine Club where I live in a diverse community, we all had a beautiful home made hot lunch together. We sang happy birthday to the senior who was celebrating his birthday. Because of living in a mixed community I have come to view people of color with respect, love and understanding.

I don't really think about it. I sometimes wonder what people think about me when I pass them in the streets.

Ok so who thinks like that now a days? I hope NO ONE! That is the silliest thing I have heard! There should not be a color. We are all people! If it was a person I have never seen and looked like they were trouble... no matter what race they are... I would get a little worried. But man to hide my stuff. If they want it they will take it! And I have seen more junk happen with other races... like theft, abuse and all that other junk! I hope you are not the one who thinks like this. If so then please open your eyes and expand you views a little.

Nothing. Color has nothing to do with they way people act. A white person will rob you just a quick as a black person. :)

No, I can't say as I've ever even considered doing such things. Some of the nicest people I know are Black. I had black children in my classroom that I've loved to pieces. I don't consider them any different than I am, and I treat them just like I treat everyone else. For some reason everyone seems to think that all white people are racist.

Nothing at all. I might be nervous if someone is acting aggressive, but skin color has nothing to do with that. All that's different about the person is the color of his skin; big deal.
