Somewhere down the line, as a relationship grows from days to weeks to months to years, we start taking our loved ones for granted. I plead guilty of this. I know my family love me and often do things they dont like or say something awful when Im angry, for which I repent later. I know they wont leave me. Its not that its not the other way round too. The same goes for my husband and son, for they too are guilty of taking me for granted. I love them dearly, so Id never leave them even if they hurt me, which they do occassionally. Why does it happen. Is it because as life proceeds together, one forgets to understand that we must take each step carefully and with understanding in life. How about you guys ? Do you also take your loved ones for granted ???????

The bond of love can't be broken. We love our wives or husbands, children and parents. We sometimes quarrel with them and angry upon them. But we can't leave them and they also can't leave us. Those whom I love I take for granted.Heaven is an imagination. But the bond love is not an imagination. I think our family is our heaven.

Yes bhanu, exactly my sentiments. We tend to take our loved ones for granted, because we know the bond of love is strong and little things will not snap it up. I like your last line. Family is our heaven, but this is for us lucky ones. Those who are bound to partners with whom they are unhappy, family becomes hell. Thanks.

I actually never find myself taking my loved ones for granted, because I do get mad at them for some things, but usually if I ask them to do something, no matter how small, they won't do it, and also I always am playing with them, and making them feel better somehow, no matter how they feel at the time. I manage to make them laugh, so I never do anything to make myself feel like I do that.

no i dont believe i do take my loved ones for granted i tell them when ever i talk to them that i love them and how much they mean to me. I sometimes feel guilty if i dont tell them as i dont want them thinking im taking them for granted. I know they dont take me for granted. But i agree with you as i belive that everyone takes people for granted at some stage and i think that when this happens that relationships can break down and deteriorate.

Its good to know you dont take your loved ones for granted. However I do at times, but I too tell them often enough I love them. There are times when all of us have taken each other for granted, and yet my marriage has lasted for 21 years and there is abundunt love in my family yet. So, I dont think actually a relationship breaks down. This may happen if it is an everyday process. Thanks.
