are there times in your life that you feel not sharing to others? me, i admit there are times that i feel like this, but just on small things and not all the time. but most of the time i share what i have to those who are in need.
its better to give than to receive. but we're just human and we're prone to some bad acts...:-)

Well, like i always say, 'men are selfish'.. lol =D BUT it's not always so, at least for me though.. hehe ^_^ There are times whereby i'm being selfish, just for my own gains and own advantages, but never be hurting anybody in the process.. lol =D
It's a must for us to be selfish, once in a while.. IF not, we will be taken for granted by others, and be exploited in the future.. Furthermore, selfish is in our instincts, and it will be fine if we use it at the right time.. haha =D

you know, i already forget that i have started a discussion like this...hehe but anyway, maybe you are right...but as much as possible this is one thing that a person should not have...i think.
but as human, sometimes it really comes naturally to us...just like being lazy sometimes...hehe

well great to see you here! actually this is just one of my old discussions that still keeps on running! and i haven't started much discussion for maybe 2 months already...
anyway, like you, i also want/like to help those who are in need but there are times (very rare) that i also feel like not giving...hehe like a child who don't want to share their new toys to their friends...just like that,. petty things.
but i am happy that you are not selfish and its a good thing to have...

Yes, I think sometimes I'm really being selfish. Even if sometimes I really don't want to, but I really can't help sometimes. Like when I want to do something, and my mother forbids me to do it, sometimes I still do it, that's my usual situation of selfishness.

i gues all of us do have this selfish part with us...that no matter how we try stopping it, at a certain point it will show...hehe
coz we want to follow what we think and what we want...but anyway as long as it does not ruin our relationship to others specially to our loved ones and that it will not become a habit, then i guess its just fine...hehe

i dont think im ever selfish. its probably the reason i dont have much now and yet ive gone through 120,000 bucks in 3 yrs. 
my family and friends have all proffered from it and yet.... they still dont seem to be much better off from my help. now i can no longer help, live on a fixed income, of which i hold my breathe every month that it will get me through.

you know, you remind me of my grandma when she's still alive. she work many years abroad for the family and saves nothing. because whenever someone ask for her help, usually financially, without a thought she give them (her siblings and other relatives) and its sad that when time comes that she /we don't have anything more to help them, she still appears to be the bad person...why are some people like that. they are not that grateful when we give them but when we don't, they will be saying a lot of bad things.
and from there i learn to leave something for myself coz in times of troubles, its only myself who can help me aside from immediate family of course.

I'm guilty of this.(grin)I'm selfish when it comes to my things. Since childhood i don't like someone touches my stuff, borrow my clothes or even enter my room without asking permission. When i was young my sisters and i always fight because they always borrow my stuff. But, when they got married a little thing of "selfishness" was washed away. I think it depends on the mood.

haha... me too! i am also selfish when it comes to my husband...& sometimes even to my friends...you know, i hate it but i easily get jealous even on small things!
i think, selfishness is always there even when we are still kids...
coz i remember, i also don't like sharing my toys, haha specially when they are new! but when they are no longer new, that's the time i will share it! haha

and the only thing we will never share is our love ones, specially our partner. hands off to our partner.

I know that I am a selfish person. If say that I am not a selfish person then it will be a cheating myself. I know myself then any other. Some of my friend says me that I am not selfish but i am very familiar with my nature. What have I done till now is just to satisfy me. I give utmost care for my personal interest. So it is sure that I am a very selfish person.

Hi, ckyera. Yes, I feel like this often. But sometimes, I can't control how someone else may see me. I don't try to be selfish and all that but there are times, that if I can't help someone, then I just can't. I will be honest and do the best that I can. Just as long as I know that I am not being dishonest, then I know that I am doing the right thing. I can't always share with someone when they want me to. I can only give out what I may have.

yeah its true, sometimes, even if we don't want to be selfish or even look selfish, other people might think that we are specially if we are not able to give what they ask...some people just don't understand that we can never be that generous all the time, for we also have our own needs and some things are really limited...

Yes, I felt that I have been selfish sometimes. But, I think it is quite normal to be like that. We are not angles or god. We are people with all human weaknesses. Sometimes people take advantage of us if we behave too good. I hate those kind of people. Also, we will be exploited if we offer too much help or consider helping others avoiding our needs. So, in order to be clever, we need to be selfish sometimes.

Hi ckyera, it's a nature of human being to be selfish, and it's acceptable to be a little selfish, to more selfish make people thinking the one is hard to keep touch with, and won't put his trust on the selfish people.

Sometimes, definitely. Sometimes I think about "my" issues and happenings way too much in proportion to how much I think about those around me. I'm okay with sharing my stuff but not so much with my time and attention - which can be worse than not sharing stuff.
I'm working really hard on it though, thinking of others more. The more consistent I am, the easier it gets. It's become "natural" for me.

Yeah.. there are times in my life that I don't share with others. But it's just a little. Most of my times is about sharing with others. I like to tell or sharing about my problem or burden. Share my room.. I stay in a room with my friends. We do much sharing there. Play together, laugh together. :)

I am wondering why i never feel that way of being selfish sometimes like you did. The only logical reason i can think of for myself is that since i never acted selfishly in my daily life, so i don't harbor that felling, may be that make me not a human being like 'we' since human are prone to 'bad' act like selfishness....you have an interesting discussion out for everyone here this time. Well most of the time I actually share my things were possible, but then again I sometimes do actually find myself being really selfish, like if I would buy something like a packet of chips, I wouldn't share it with anyone. Make sure you have a good day, God bless and Happy Lotting!!
