We are going to vacation in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, mostly to go to Dollywood, but would love any other recommendations for things to do there, and places to eat. Any help is very much appreciated.

Many, many, many, times! I live only a couple of hours from there.. it's really nice :) I suggest that if you are going to Dolly Wood that you also take the time to go a little further up the road to Gatlinburg.. it's filled with all kinds of shops and interesting things to look at :) the space needle and Ribley's (sp?) are cool places to waste some time! If you plan on staying the day in Dolly Wood... I also suggest that you take your own drinks because theirs are OVER PRICED! or either by the big drinks that offer free refills.. cause you can refill them all day! In Pigeon Forge.. you HAVE to go to any of the 100 candy shops there! they make the most awesome fudge! seriously! and while you are there you can watch them make all kinds of goodies. Oh! they have "Bells Mall" (just up the street from the park) it's an outlet mall.. they literally have every Designer item you can think of.. really cheap! and try eating at Dixie Stampede .. it's a dinner theater.. it's awesome! have fun! I might see ya there! :)

There is so much to do there, literally you can walk out your front door and have tons to do. So many restaurants. Do not forget to take a picnic lunch when you go to Dollywood, food is very expensive in there and they have picnic tables in the parking area. That is what we always do. Make sure you drive into Gatlinburg for the day, so much to see and lots of shops, If you drive to the route between Gatlinburg and Cherokee you will find a very nice park (on the right hand side) that is great for picnics, and even getting in the stream (it can be cold water though) Have fun and enjoy the mountains

I've been to Pigeon Forge, and to Dollywood, but its been YEARS so I'm sorry, I'm much help. Besides, I let my sister do the tour schedule since she lives in Knoxville.

Nope. Gotten close, but nope, didn't get there at all and I heard that is some beautiful country up there too; I saw an online brochure for some houses up there and I tell you, I wanted to go right then and there. They are so beautiful.

I have been to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. That was on my way to the Smoky Mountains. Didn't stop long in Pigeon Forge, but I had a very good impression of the place, very beautiful, pleasant ! Have a nice time.

I have never been to Pigeon Forge, but I went to Gatlinburg, TN, which is very close to Pigeon Forge. I loved it there! We were only there a couple days, but it was wonderful! I wish I could move there. Tennessee was so beautiful. I felt at peace there. Yoy will have a great time! If I were you, I would take a day trip to Gatlinburg. I don't know if you're in to national parks, but Smokey Mtn. National Park is here. There are also a ton of restaurants, cute shops, and a million mini golf places. You can also go to Ober Gatlinburg, which is a small amusement park of sorts that the kids would love!

If you are into nature or history, then check out a place in the Cherokee National Forest called Cades Cove. It has a lot of history, old log cabins that you can go into. An old time mill and lots of other stuff. And best, it's free, or was the last time I was there a few years ago.
