Yes, I think we should have the option to edit our messages when nobody has yet reacted on our reply. The only solution now is to react on your own reply which I find looking ugly... Do you agree, why?

I think it should but for other reasons. People always say things in the spur of the moment which inside they dont really agree with. Ive always wanted to rephrase or change thing that have came out wrong and i think people should be able to do that.

LOL when people think strongly on subjucts then tend to react on instincts instead of thinking about other people. You then think back well could i have got my opinion over but rephrase it better.

Absolutely! I always check my posts carefully before submitting, but the odd typo or spelling mistake still slips through. If Mylot wants quality posts, it should allow responders to correct mistakes. If they don't want to supply an edit button, and I can see why they might not, as people could change posts just to try to improve their ratings rather than to correct mistakes, they should at least provide a spell check button.

Firefox has a built in spell check. However I agree a spell check for other browser users which do not have an integrated spell checker would be useful. It is getting to the point I am starting to think some misspelled words are normally spelt that way as I see the misspelling more often than the correct. The same with grammer, can someone come up with a grammar check, that would help me too.

Yes, yes, a thousand times yes. How often have I reread my post and suddenly remember I had something to add right after I posted. I do not agree with an open ended edit choice as people would be going back days later and deleting or editing posts. I think a timed edit say for 5 or 10 minutes is sufficient, and then it is locked in. It would have saved me several secondary posts. I seem to remember doing just this a while back on some site whose name escapes me and I will not spend the time and energy trying to remember. The preview does not do this function as you are just busy checking spelling and punction. What I really do need however is a speak recognition software as I can speak faster than I can type. Hopefully that would allow my brain to concentrate on ideas quickly instead of waiting for my fingers to catch up all the time. I often wonder how those court transcribers do the conversation in real time.

There is good voice recognition software available free ware and shareware. Anyway I agree it shouldn't be an open ended edit choice as I said in my first post. Those court transcribers use stenography, using that technique you can write things and even keep up with the conversation. Subtitle creators use a special keyboard to be able to work faster. :)

I have often times wished that there was an edit button for the replies that I have posted to discussions. I re-read what I want to post before I post my response but I surely enough miss a thought that I also wanted to add or want to correct a simple grammar or spelling mistake. I hope this is an addition that might be added to the site soon.

You exactly wrote down why the edit button should be implemented. I envy you. :) Cheers.

Hello, diamania! Well, maybe there is a reason why we cannot edit once it was posted. We are paid on the quality of our posts so before hitting the post button, make sure that the response, discussion or comment is final and edited well because it was not able to edit anymore once it is posted. I check out always on my post before posting and make sure that I had posted a complete information or opinion. Happy mylotting!
