Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end. I received this quote from my brother today. After I quit laughing, I began to think of the possibilities!!! What is your take on this quote???

I think it's correct! PC is all about fooling yourself and denying reality. I concede that some of our avoidance of reality is a kindness--like not calling Down syndrome children the cruel names we used to. But I see nothing wrong with the medical term "retarded" because that's what they are, halted (or retarded) at a certain point of intellect. It's not cruel, just factual but PC prohibits the term. Calling a short person "vertically challenged" is stupid--they're short!! I'm not "large", I'm FAT! Ok? Please don't reduce my condition to words of denial, that's how I feel. That's just an example. Today's world is all about denying reality and making people feel good. We'll pay the price eventually and be very, very sorry.

I think it is true. You are short or tall, a janitor that cleans toilets or the nasty person that dirties them, there is no real reason to candy coat everything, we will all just get diabetes.
