There's a really interesting news story online
about a cat in China that started growing a pair
of wings when he hit one year old.
They look just like fuzzy wings!
Check it out.
Here's the link.

Have you ever lived with a cat that had an unusual quirk?

Hi beauty,
The cat really looks cute, is it real or just a prank here either way the kitty looks so sweet.

Totally real! Actually they say the winged cat
is not all that uncommon. Guess it's a genetic
variation of some kind. Maybe a recessive gene.

Awww--what a cute kitty. Got to really wonder how that happened, right? Even in the article it says they aren't quite sure how such a mutation like that happened. I reported a story last year here about a cat with four ears...and the cat was named Yoda...LOL

Aw that's kind of cute! I'm sure that at first it must have shocked the owners of the cat, but now the cat is very popular, and possibly the owners richly rewarded! Nice story, I appreciate you sharing it with us all!

Thanks for saying so! And, yes
I would imagine the cat is very
popular now that he has international
news coverage.
Hopefully the owners will be able to get
paid for the photos being taken of the
winged cat.

Yes I do hope so to. Although there are different laws all around, so they may not be allowed to be paid for such photos taken. I appreciate the comment back to me, have a wonderful day.

yea, they had quite a few cases now of cats with that outgrowth.seems to be like a gigantic gnarl.
i had a cat once with two, count 'em,TWO sets of canine teeth.
they never fell out when he got his adult teeth, and finally had to be extracted because he couldn't close his mouth properly with all those teeth.
damn scary looking when he yawned!

I haven't heard about this but it's definately interesting. I had a cat tessa & she had doggy traits - I was able to teach her to kiss on command & she used to carry a little squash ball in her mouth, take it up the stairs to the landing, drop the ball down the stairs & chase it.

The link is not working anymore as the page seems to have been removed, but I think it would be fun to see a cat grow wings. No more calling the fire station to get it down the tree..
