little advice needed please

Well xlinzixx, practice and dedication to music can improve your partner. It is a good thing he plays and practices daily and I think it will greatly help your partner to excell in terms of joining a band. Well, practicing solo is far far more different than practicing with a band because all of the members must be synchronized in terms of the tempo of the music and the time signature of the song they are playing. My advice to you is encourage your partner to regularly play and practice with a band because it greatly helps in terms of synchronization. Happy mylotting also! :)

Hi there, you can't fulfill his dream for him. he is the one that has to make that happen. You can be supportive and encouraging and all but ultimately he has to be the one to really want to do this enough. If he is good but not amazing, maybe he should take more lessons. He should befriend other people who are members of local bands and maybe jam with them. Thru them he will make contacts and learn better skills.

Hi there xlinzixx; I have a boyfriend that has this dream as well and I know how you are feeling. My boyfriend has not mentioned it lately but I know that has always been his dream. I look at this way if that is what he truely wants support him and let him know it is not easy but you are more than willing to be there for his support.
