How often do you buy a new bathing suit?

I do not go swimming all that often but I probably buy a new set of trunks every other year.

I have a suit I bought a couple years ago. It's one of those types that looks like a skirt, to cover my thighs. I won't buy another until I need to. The kids and my hubby only get suits when they NEED them too such as they outgrow them or wear them out too much. Some things I just can't spend money on, and back up bathing suits is one of those things. But we don't really swim too much, no more than once a week in the summer. If we had a pool and went swimming more than once a week then I'd see us having more than 1 suit each.

Lord, I haven't had a new bathing suits in about 10 years. I still have mine I am not even sure it will fit or is the elastic is even good now. I rarely use it and haven't in years..It is just easier to swim in shorts and a t-shirt since I am self conscious I usually end up with the shorts and t-shirt over it anyhow to swim.

I usually have to buy me a new bathing suit every year. I either outgrow my old one or it is worn out. I hope to buy me a smaller one this year though.

I don't buy a new one very often. I still have the one in my avatar and that's almost 2 years old! I also have it in brown as well. What can I say, they were on sale! LOL I'd actually like to get a new one for this summer. But this time I want to get a tankini. I prefer the look of a one piece, but don't like the way it goes on or off, especially after a dip in the pool.

Well, I just bought a new suit about a month ago. On average I might buy a new one every year. But I do keep my old suits too and then rotate them. And as far as having kids, man I have 4 kids and my body is not that great. However, life is short and I try to enjoy it with my kids. Have a nice day and happy myLotting!!!

As long as the suit still fits (and still hides the areas I want to!) I keep using it. I have had the same suit for two years now. I bought it right after my daughter was born and I realized I would never be wearing the bikini's in my drawer again. This year I had to buy a new one though as I am pregnant and not able to fit into my old one. Suits are so expensive! Luckily, I got a really good deal on mine online. It's hard shelling out that much money for a maternity suit that I may be able to use again.

I would buy one if my old one didn't fit or if it were falling apart or all stretched out. I don't like to spend alot on swimsuits since I don't go swimming very often. Maybe when we go on vacation we will go swimming and that is not going to happen this summer.

I have a swim suit that i have never worn.I got this swim suit to go on holiday with and instead i wore a pair of shorts and a tshirt as that is what i am more comfortable wearing.I hate the thought of even wearing a swim costume i would feel like i was on show and being looked at you know what i am saying.

I completely understand. I lucked up this year though. I started doing stuff on ebay and had some money generated so i bought me a new bathing suit. I've already been to myrtle beach and to Gatlinburg and i've gotten a lot of comments on it. I usually buy one every year and i've learned to buy at the beginning of the season or before the season even starts. Cause for one before season you can get what you want and usually get it cheaper than if you wait til you need it. I usually end up gaining enough weight that I can't fit into my old anyways, so that's why I usually end up buying one.
