My sister says its really good at waking you up and it does not have the crashing effect of just drinking caffeine. Theres not much to drink at all. You just shallow all down at once.

My husband used it several times. One time it gave him the shakes and he hasn't tried it again. The stuff was pretty good. He made plenty of trips where he needed to stay awake driving and it did what it was supposed to do. I guess something happened the last time he took it. Someone told him if it was old it could have caused that.

theres a tendency for people to abuse stuff like that and rely on it rather than sleep. the body may keep awake with the 5 hour energy but even though stuff like that and caffeine keeps people awake i still can get that feeling after so long its not natural because you can be awake but don't feel all there. my sisters thyroid started to malfunction on 5 hour energy and i think it was the 5 hour energy because she was taking way too many of them while sleeping less.

The body definitely has to have sleep. I don't think it is good to pull a 24 hour shift without sleep. Sleep helps your body to rejuvenate so I can only imagine what would happen to one's body with out sleep. You need sleep to stay healthy. My husband never went without sleep so we don't know what would happen if you did. He took it to help him stay alert during waking hours while driving. Once it caused the shakes, he never took it again. I hope your sister is okay. This stuff is like diet pills. I don't really trust anything that isn't natural or has side effects.

I tried 5 hour energy once and I will never use it again. I felt just as jittery and sick as I do with a normal energy drink. Plus, it made me extremely hungry for the next 24 hours after I took it. I think it's because of the B vitamins, which cause some people's metabolisms to speed up. I wasn't just hungry- I literally couldn't eat enough to keep myself comfortable. I had gnawing hunger pains in my stomach all day long, and I was miserable.

how strange the effects can be when comparing several people.

I don't even drink coffee for the buzz. I just drink coffee because it tastes good. As for energy drinks, I'm not comfortable with them either. I would rather sleep when I need to and get my energy naturally from sleeping and waking at the right time, than to use energy drinks to get me up.

I have never tried it before but my husband has. It is very small and he says it does work well for him also. I am afraid to get addicted to something like that. I may start drinking more than I should LOL, just to get more energy.

I have tried it. I guess it is less horrific for you than the regular energy drinks. I do seem to get much out of it though. I think you need to be active for it to help really. I tried it when I was on a road trip and it did not seem to help me stay awake at all. I guess it all depends on the person because my hubby seems to really like it. It is easy to drink though it is only like and ounce or two so it isnt hard to get down at all.

i saw saw some of it. my sister was of the belief it didn't have caffeine but just b-vitamins. i guess she rarely looks at the nutrition label of things, lol but she really liked it. i've never tried it as caffeine it self is enough for me. i've tried other things that gave me the jitters. i also tried a product that had no caffeine but a mixture of vitamins that have me alertness as well as increasing my reflexes called brainquicken. i really liked brainquicken but the price for it way too much at $50 a bottle although I gave it a try years back.
