I've never grilled corn myself, but I have had it grilled by others at picnics. It is really tasty, and if I had a grill I think I would prepare grilled corn at least occasionally. My favorite way to cook corn, though, is in a campfire. You leave the green husks on the corn cob, making sure that the whole cob is completely covered. Then you just dip the whole thing in some water and shove it under the coals in the campfire. The heat from the campfire cooks the corn and gives it a really nice roasted flavor. Ever since I tried it, it's been my favorite way to eat corn on the cob.

That is pretty much the same way you grill corn. Soak the husks, then cover the corn with them, and place them on the grill. Next time I go camping I will bring corn and try your way. I bet it is fantastic.

Another thing to try is to peel back the husks a little bit and put leaves of fresh herbs inside, and then close the husks back over the corn. I personally like basil best.

Yes, actually, we have. We just did it for the first time over Memorial Day. It was so good! I think we will probably do it all the time too. How do you do it? We spread butter and garlic on the corn, wrapped it in tin foil and grilled it for 30 minutes. It was heavenly. We can't wait to do it again!

No, I have never grilled corn as it takes so long to become tender. Please tell me the best way to grill it. Is it tastier done that way?

There are several different ways to do it. Rachel Ray had 4 chefs on her show one day and someone asked how to do it and all 4 of them had a different way of doing it. The way I do it is to remove the silks, and pull the husks back up around the chicken and soak the corn in water for 20 to 30 minutes. Then place them in the husk on the grill, and turn them about every 5 minutes or so. It only takes about 15 minutes. Depending on how hot the grill is. Sometimes you have to move them around because some spots are hotter than others.

I pull down the husk of the corn, do not remove. Take out the silk and clean your corn. Rub it down with butter or olive oil. Season with salt & Pepper. Now pull the husk back over the corn and twist at the end. I place it on the top rack of my grill and let it go. I love the smoked taste. If you use a mesquite brick in your grill, the corn picks up that taste too. Something different. We have it here quite often since we can grill year round in Florida. :)

Of course I have and I just love doing it especially coz of the taste it gives and the ease of preparation. Last time I tried a different recipe; it's called Peanut Butter grilled corn and believe me it was so awesome that I forgot to keep my huby's share! ;) If you like grilled corn recipes, do give this new recipe a try. That sounds kind of odd, but it is probably good. I never would have thought to put peanut butter on corn.

I have never done it myself, but I had some on Memorial Day and it was AWESOME!! If I had a grill, I would make it that way all the time. I usually steam mine.

I've never actually done it myself either, but my mom has made it that way on occasion before, and it is bomb! Seems to taste sweeter if you ask me, just delicious!

Oh yes, the wife and I lerned how to do it last year and now we have it at least 20 times during the summer. My wife could not wait for them to start selling corn on the cob this year. So that she could grill the corn. We both do it, but she especially likes to do it. So she does it more often than I do, but I certainly will eat it.

When it is in season, like now, my husband does it quite often. I have to agree, it is really good and I am not much of a corn eater.

I love grilled corn we have it quite often in the summer time. The best way to have grilled corn is to buy corn on the cob with the husk let it soak in water and salt for about a day then after you have let it soak wrap the whole husk and wrap it in tinfoil with a slab of butter and the either throw it on the grill or even better over an open camp fire. The way that the butter melts into the corn because of the water makes it absolutely mouth watering.

Sure! A thousand times. Grilling corn is as ordinary task to me as drinking water. While cleaning the farm, I used to toss young corn into the small fire I built to prevent insects from hovering around me. There are really many ways of preparing corn for food. Let me know if you want to know.
