Do you get frustrated paying bills?

I am sure that most us do not like to pay bills but we do it continually. However, do you find that there are times that you get frustrated by the amount of a bill or the fact that the utilities can charge us so much money for something that we need to live a fairly average lifestyle? I do. I was just looking at our phone bill and it is crazy all of the fees and taxes that we pay on these kinds of bills. I am just frustrated- how about all of you?

I hate paying bills. But It's part of my responsibility as an adult. It's just sometimes too frustrating because sometimes/most of the times my bills are bigger than my income.Imagine how can I budget that. Right now I am trying my best to budget and spend wisely to be able to avoid the stress brought about by budgetting and paying bills.

Hey, Well I think that everyone is frustrated paying bills, especially if they can't actually afford to pay the bills. That is when the real stress starts to actually kick in. But I think if people can afford to pay them, there is no problem. Make sure you have a good day, God bless and Happy Lotting!!

You are right, but I think that everyone should be outraged at all of the extra fees that we pay on bills. If more people would complain, we would not have to pay them as the utilities would elminate them.

Personally it can be quite frustrating and something that in a lot of ways you just need to always plan and budget for. This can mean cutting back with going out to eat, etc. as most of the time these Bills are never the same. Especially with utility bills as they keep on raising the cost, etc. But when you just learn to relax, Pray and Trust God even thru the rough times everything usually turns out OK.

I know that I do some praying about our bills at times. I find that God always pulls us through. Going out to eat is next to impossible anymore.

I get frustrated with the bills almost every month. I get so discouraged when we try to conserve but the rates go up anyway. Utility bills take their toll on us every month. Our water, electric, natural gas and sewage is outragious!

I agree. The utility companies aren't suffering during the recession are they? Do we ever hear of them laying people off. Maybe we should all go to work for them.LOL!!

I get frustrated the same way you do when it comes to bills. And yes, especially if it's stuff that a person need just to be able to get by. The one thing that really gets to me is when I go to the pharmacy every month to pick up my medication. It makes me sick, the fact that insurance companies charge sky high rates just to help us to be healthy and help cover our prescriptions, but then when I go to get those prescriptions, they are still so expensive that there have been times where I have had to choose between having certain groceries or being able to afford my medication that I need to live. It makes me beyond angry to see that companies like that and utility companies (because we need electricity) or water to live continue to increase their rates. It's almost like the reason for them doing that is llike they are preying on all of us. They know they have something that we can absolutely not live without so we "have" to pay them. Then they can up the costs of all of it because we don't have a choice and"have" to pay them no matter what they do. To me that's just sick. I don't understand why that stuff hasn't been controlled or regulated more closely to work with the people who have to pay them to live.

I agree with you on both of your issues. I feel that the monopoly that the utilities have is not fair to consumers. I also don't think that it is right the cost that doctors and dentists charge for their services. I do not go unless it is an emergency as I just can't afford it.

Yes. It gets me frustated, sometimes makes me aggravated when paying my bills, especially if it is higher tham what you've expected. As a consumer, we should always practice our rights like what are these charges for and how are we billed for.

I think that the utilities should not be able to monopolize an area where they are the only company that you could choose and then the costs might go down a little.

Definately! Although, Hubby pays most of the bills, I do see them when they come in the mail. Actually though, our utilities have evened out since we sold our house and moved into an apartment. First, the insulation is better, so our heat and air don't escape...as well as the fact that the electricity comes from a co-op and it's just flat cheaper than Entergy. our electric bill went down almost $50 a month since we moved. (YEA) The cable is included in our rent, so the only thing we pay for is internet and the premium channels which run us about $49 a month. This is another $30 savings Then water is where our bill is in half! We were on the same water meter as my mom and step dad. They have a leak somewhere in their house and their water bill is almost $150 every month! But before we knew they had a leak, we had agreed to pay half the bill each month. Add our water usage and the bill went up to about $200. Half of that is $100. Now, our water bill is never over $40. It's great!

It is great and I am happy for you! I wish that I could find a way to cut ours down some, but there is no way that I can cut the fees that they charge us as taxes, etc and that is what is costing me so much. It makes me crazy that they can do that and there is nothing that we can do except live without it.

Bills have become part of our monthly expenditures. The only thing to avoid getting headaches seeing the amount is to minimize our usage of electricity and water.

I can't do that with the phone bill though and I would like to see that the fees that we are charged were lowered or gotten rid of. I pay a carrier fee and all sorts of fees that is what frustrates me. I don't mind paying for what I use.

It feels bad whenever the bill comes. But then if it is listing what I have been using and not charging me a penny more than I should be, I won't have any problem with them. I pay what I use and it is that simple. If I am low of cash, I just use fewer. It is possible to use less electricity if you just turn off the air conditioner. It is possible to cut the phone bill by not calling out people so often.

I don't have air conditioning as I just can't afford it. My electric bill was over $500 per month all winter from the furnace and I was cold all winter. I hate bills!
