The Car is 25 years old. Well, it least it runs, and it can get me back and forth to work. What do you think about an Old Car? It is a Station Wagon. It is very clean too. I will tell you more about it, I am picking it up soon. I will come back later and tell you all about the Car, I will chat with you later!

A car that old may have many problems shortly. I think you should be prepared that the maintenance cost would not be low. Also, you may have to prepare the money needed to replace different parts here and there.
Overall, I would not buy a car that old as it may cause more problems and more costly in the long run.

If I was buying a car Myself I wouldn't buy a Car that old, I am just going to drive it, untill I can do better. Maybe drive it for a couple of months. And then get something better.

I don't agree for a number of reasons. True, repairs may be necessary while you own it, but since refurbished parts should be easily available, repairs should be more reasonable than if the car was 8 or 10 years old. Also, the cost of those repairs are certainly going to be less than the depreciation on a new car. Having and keeping an older car is like money in the bank.

If your state has emissions testing, make sure you get that done right away. And if you are buying the car at a dealership, make sure that they aren't the ones who do the testing...bring it to a different testing facility. Some repairs for that could be costly. Nothing wrong with older cars, especially ones that appear clean and well maintained. Hope you enjoy it, and don't forget a picture!!

I guess it is great if there is not too much wrong with it, with old cars there is usually always repairs to make and sometimes you are dishing so much money out that you could have purchased a new car for the price.

I don't like newer cars. I will probably never buy a new car. We have 3 vehicles. They are a 1991 Mercury Capri Convertible, that we bought in a yard sale for $900 five years ago, one is a 1991 Ford Escort Station Wagon that I saw sitting in a yard with a price on it of $250 or best offer. We paid the $250 for it that evening, the third is a 1996 Dodge Dakota Pickup that we paid $600 for. All of these vehicles run well. I am well versed in the repair and maintenance of vehicles, so this helps me in the long run. I take good care of our vehicles. I have found a product that I will continue to use for as long as it is manufactured. It is a waterless car wash, meaning that you use NO ADDITIONAL WATER to keep it clean and protected. Anyone who wants to know more can PM me, and I will get back to them.
